The location and building we stayed at were very nice. Well kept grounds, nice public areas and wonderful beach. But the unit we stayed in was very dated. It was cleaned before we got there, but there is no way a cleaning can hide the fact the walls need to be painted, the popcorn ceiling replaced, and just a general updating needs bit take place. The appliances seemed to be out of the 60s. All the plates and other cook wear appeared to be brought in from the back of a thrift store. But with that being said, most everything worked. The 1 square foot capacity microwave did reheat a cup of coffee and make a bag of popcorn. And who knew Black and Decker made a microwave! The freezer made ice, and it had the modern “plastic” ice cube trays. I also didn’t know they still have working tube TVs, but this unit has 2 of them! Too bad the bedroom tv wouldn’t connect to the cable box. Could have called the cable company, but hey, dealing with the cable company would have just been too much of a good time.
The king size bed was ok for comfort. I would not stay in this unit again, but would stay at the building. To be fair, the owner has this unit as a rental, and the price is low for a place on the beach in a nice location.
