Swim, lounge, and snorkel at the fabulous Mana Kai Maui Resort, the jewel at the end of one of Maui’s best beaches! The Mana Kai Maui Resort uniquely offers all the advantages of a condo vacation, but with the added amenities of a resort hotel. Choose from condominium or hotel-style accommodations. The condominiums include one and two-bedroom suites, complete with well-equipped kitchens and private lanais. In-room safes and free high-speed WiFi access are also available. Comfortable hotel-style suites with full baths are also available just steps away from the ocean. You'll also have access to two gas grills and laundry facilities available on the property. While our amenities do not include poolside towel service, our condo and hotel suites are equipped with beach towels for use at the pool and beach. Take advantage of the resort atmosphere with special features including free parking, a pool, open air dining with lounge, yoga classes with Maui Yoga Path, a fitness center, an activities center, a gift shop, a general store, a business center with computers, and conference/meeting facilities.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Very bad communication

We waited one hour to receive the code to enter the unit when we arrived in Maui on 7/4. We were forced to change units in the middle of our 5 night stay in Maui. While we paid for the full price, we were asked to leave the unit at 10am 7/6, and wait till 4pm 7/6 to check in to another unit. This is crazy! We had to change our excursion plan and wait for the call to see when we can move to the new unit. In the meantime, they changed the code to our room so we are locked out with all our stuff inside while we were at the pool. Very poorly managed and communicated. I didn’t mind the inconvenience of packing up and move but they certainly make it even more difficult for me.

Check in problems

The listing stated that we would receive access codes the morning of check in for 4pm check in. We had not received the info by 3 so we called. They indicated that the system was set to trigger release the codes AT 4pm and that we would get a text. We did not receive a text by 4:40 and so called. We were on hold for approx 10 min and finally received a text.

Understanding protocol?

I did not learn until after paying ALL the fees that the on-site restaurant, deli, market, exercise room were all closed. Also we did not have wifi until the last evening. I asked Vacasa of Hawaii to consider discounting some of the fees, received no response. I would like to know if this is standard operating procedures for Vrbo or Vacasa or both. Thanks.

What is there not to love? Location, views, amenities, and did I mention the views! such a lovely place, it can use an update and a better job of cleaning and dusting, but overall, I would love to go back!

The Mana Kai Maui condo building is in a fantastic location right on a great beach with prime snorkeling. Feels resort-like with sports rental shop, activities desk, deli/store and a restaurant all in the building. The view is good and the condo was very well equipped in the kitchen, has beach accessories and good AC. Somewhat strange layout as the second bedroom is a separate, connected unit. This Airbnb was so great. The location is the best part - just steps away from the pool, lawn, ​and beach. All the units at the Mana Kai have great decks with a view of the beach and ocean, and this unit was no exception! We saw lots of whales from the deck and beach which was fun and we had a wonderful time snorkeling right from the beach. It was so great to have a small kitchen that was well stocked with equipment and we made most of our breakfasts and lunches in the unit. They even had a boogie board and a couple of beach chairs which we enjoyed. We would most definitely stay here again.
