The Penthouse at Windswept offers sweeping Atlantic views, elegant interiors, and a peaceful setting just steps from the beach on Kiawah’s East Beach. With three king bedrooms and three private bathrooms, it’s ideal for couples traveling together who want comfort, privacy, and incredible ocean views.

The bright living area features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean and opens to a private balcony where you can enjoy coffee at sunrise or unwind to the sound of the waves. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area make it easy to gather and enjoy relaxed meals together.

Two oceanfront master suites offer stunning views, king beds, and spacious bathrooms, while the third bedroom also features a king bed and nearby bath.

Penthouse Perfection on Kiawah

From the moment I booked, Jeanette and Shawn welcomed us. Arrival was quick and simple with gate pass printed ahead of time. When we walked in, the first think we saw was the beautiful ocean view! Almost everywhere you look in this condo, there are ocean views. The main floor bedroom does not have them, but both upstairs bedrooms do. Our room had a window seat, which was perfect for ocean views for my husband who has mobility issues. The main floor balcony was perfect for watching sea birds, dolphins, and deer who forage in the dues below. We felt like we didn't even have to go down to the beach to enjoy it! Everything in the condo was sleek and aesthetically appealing. KIG does a great job of making it feel like a home, not a rental. Plenty of kitchen necessities. Truly everything you need or could want is at your fingertips. They send ideas for places to honor try and offer booking soft things like bikes and beach chairs. Very professional! We are now officially spoiled, and I know we will be back to the Penthouse again next year. After 20+ years of coming to Kiawah, this is officially our home away from home! ❤️

Spectacular Beachfront Stay

We were 2 couples with an additional friend who stayed for several days in April. The condo was in perfect shape and offered all of the amenities that one would look for on Kiawah. Everything was made easy and with luxury. In addition, any and all questions were answers promptly. Loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous penthouse suite with ocean views

This place exceeded our expectations and was an amazing place for a get away. The details and decorating were beyond any rental we've ever stayed in. Plus, the views from the patio and upper bedrooms were phenomenal. It was wonderful to wake up to the sunrise every morning. The communication with the owner was a bit cold and unfriendly, but she responded quickly to any question. The check-out process was also a bit more complicated than any we've experience... needed to go through an online checklist to confirm we did everything we were supposed to do before leaving. Other than this it was a wonderful experience and we'd highly recommend it!

Stunning views. Beautiful condo. Management was VERY responsive. The island is beautiful and absolutely peaceful. A lot to ask of vacationers at checkout but I know that can be common with rentals.

Perfection! No detail overlooked!

We had a wonderful time during our stay in this property. It is SO beautifully appointed; truly looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. The views of the beach are stunning. We enjoyed family bike rides on the island paths and the wide open beach. So much wonderful nature to take in on this magical island. The owners were fantastic and friendly and we will be staying at their properties every time we visit from now on!

First time in Kiawah and staying with Shawn and Jeanette but hopefully many more in the future. The inside was literally stunning and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach. The beds were also the most comfortable I’ve had at a rental property. They’ve thought of everything you need and are clear in the check in and check out procedures. Overall a fabulous experience.

It’s a great location and a lovely place. Extremely clean and well organized. Be prepared though to strip the beds, start the sheets, start the dishwasher, and empty trash.

Island Getaways has it all together! When walking in you could feel the comfort, warmth, and wow! It was so nice to be able to work with the Lawsons directly on questions and needs....I would not hesitate to stay in any of their properties, unseen!

This was one of the best places we have rented for a week at the beach! So clean, beautifully decorated, and great location! The owners put a lot of thought into making sure the needs of their guests were met! I would highly recommend this villa!

Penthouse Perfection!

My three friends and I experienced five glorious days in this penthouse and it was so beautifully decorated and was like my home away from home. It was pure luxury with our hosts thinking of every single thing I could possibly need. Whenever I reached out with a question, I received an immediate response. I will definitely return and highly recommend it. I know they didn't order the beautiful weather and glorious sunrises, but ... did they?

Windswept Penthouse

Lovely venue, outstanding vistas and access to the beach. The two king bedrooms on the upper floor are spacious and have beautiful views. The small bedroom with two non-movable twin beds on the lower floor are suitable for children. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with equipment and spices. There are no cupboards available to put purchased non-refrigerated food items so they end up filling up the kitchen counter--so my only small suggestion for this incredible apartment would be to have a closet made available to guest use for this. Otherwise this is a really luxurious place to stay with very responsive owners who kindly ran interference when our Blue Apron box was delivered to the wrong address and immediately and knowledgeably responded to our call when a rare island-wide and fortunately short power outage occurred.
