Overall we have enjoyed our stay in this resort and island. We loved the journey to come to the island and our stay in a beach front bungalow. We are here during the covid outbreak so good to be away from everything. Things to note. Ask for your room to be cleaned when you want it. The food at their restaurant is good and reasonably priced for where you are. If you want provisions (water, beer etc) , get them in the local store at the pier when you arrive to the island. The Sunset Beach Resort, Takua Pa, is a very new and nice hotel right on the beachfront in a secluded part of the the Thai coastline, north of Khao Lak, on the island of Koh Kho Khao. It is a long taxi ride from Phuket airport and the taxi leaves you at the pier, where you catch a modified long-tail boat to cross the river to the island, where you are met by the resort taxi which takes you to the resort. Friendly staff and amazing resort. They made our holiday memorable. Every areas are exceptional clean, spacious rooms and the resort has many activities to take part on. Great fitness centre. Avani+ is run by very professional team with an impressive work ethic. We will definitely going back there.

Our second visit in 11 months. It was another incredible, excellent and wonderfully relaxing stay. The staff are the friendliest (shout out to YaYa and team at the Beach Grill, M and Waan at the pool bar - thanks for the 'M Special' drink and Kath at reception whose english is excellent). Sammy was so wonderful with our young daughters - braiding their hair, providing colouring to keep them occupied whilst we ate. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again and rate 500Rai above Panvaree The Greenery where we stayed afterwards.
