This area is the primary gateway for exploring the national park, which is known for its waterfalls and caves. You'll find a small cluster of guesthouses and local eateries here, providing a convenient base for park activities. It's a quiet area, surrounded by natural beauty.

For couples and solo travellers seeking a nature-focused escape, staying near the park entrance is ideal. You'll have easy access to the park's trails, superb for exploring the seven-tiered Khao Chamao Waterfall or the various cave systems.

The best time to go to Khao Chamao is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to February.

During these months, the weather is generally cooler and less humid, with clear skies and minimal rainfall. This makes it ideal for exploring the Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park, as the trails are dry and the waterfalls are still flowing beautifully after the preceding rainy season. It's a comfortable time for outdoor activities like hiking, birdwatching, and visiting the caves.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find this period particularly appealing. The pleasant weather allows for leisurely walks through nature and comfortable evenings enjoying the local cuisine without the stickiness of high humidity. The park is less crowded than during peak holiday periods, offering a more intimate experience with nature.

For families, the dry season offers the most comfortable conditions for children to enjoy the outdoor attractions.
