River Run Condo w/ Slope Views and Short Walk to Lifts, Shops, Restaurants!

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 6 with a king bed, a full-sized bed, and a sleeper sofa. It features slope views. The homeowner updated with brand new furniture during the summer of 2018. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities. Plus, you're a walking distance to the high-speed gondola. Red Hawk Lodge offers shared amenities including an outdoor pool and two hot tubs.

The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV mounted above a gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Extra sheets and blankets are in a closet. There is a Blu-ray player and sound system for your enjoyment. The homeowner has provided a selection of games for your enjoyment. The private balcony is just off the living area and offers slope views to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats two. The first of two full bathrooms is located just off of the living area and features a pedestal sink and shower/tub combination. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower/tub combination and a door separates the toilet area for added privacy. The guest bedroom has a full-sized bed and a flat screen TV and DVD player.

Nice Condo - Walking Distance to Everything

My wife and our two teenagers stayed for 3 days/4 nights in January. Place was as advertised, and plenty of room for us, even during inclement weather that closed the lifts one day, and made for short ski days the rest of the weekend. Can walk to gondola/lifts to ski, and can walk to River Run commercial area for shopping and food. Would stay here, again.

Decent, average.

Overall it was an average space. Location to the mountain and skiing was great, but the condo itself was average. The room we had, the floors were a little dirty and the mattresses seemed pretty old/hard. It met all needs and would go there again, but don’t expect an extraordinary experience.

Construction was not disclosed - would have requested a different room; Ventahood did not work so the smoke detector kept going off because all food stuck to the pans -regardless of what we did to prevent; mattress was uncomfortable. Aside from that, good size of rooms, good layout, lots of amenities, good location....

Underground car park was handy as well. Only a few minutes walk to the Gondola and into the shops area. The only down side, is directly opposite there is new construction and they were working 6 days a week, 7am to 5pm and it was often very noisy.

Great location for skiing, no frills condo.

The place was cleaned properly, the kitchen was functional on a very basic level. The beds were uncomfortable and the living room furniture even worse. There were plenty of pillows which is rare. There was once a view of the gondola but now it’s blocked by new construction, but you can still see skiers. We locked ourselves out, and the owner was very nice, and easy to communicate with. I know this isn’t the owners fault, but what’s with the 4:30 check in? It keeps getting later, as the years pass. Not convenient. The 2 hot tubs and pool were very nice, and the pool was heated well. The steam room and small gym were clean and functional, and we even used the nice lobby to watch a football game. A good experience overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at the Red Hawk Lodge (in a different unit) before. We really like the location on the bike/walk path, away from the hustle-bustle, but still a close walk to shopping, restaurants and activities. We're no longer downhill skiers, but the lifts are near too. In the fall, the crowds are gone, many businesses in the village shutter for a break, the bike paths are lightly used, and the fall colors are awesome... we love it. The extra blanket in the closet for the bed was nice since modern top bedding usually consists of only a thick comforter and a sheet, so I'm either too hot or too cold all night. The blanket is a good medium. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and convenient. A couple of small issues were (1) noise from construction of a large condo complex across the street, and (2) we never figured out how to use the satellite TV setup in the living room (the one in the bedroom worked fine after a system reboot). The living room TV had a Roku, so we added our DirecTV Stream app and were fine with that. Minor nitpicks: broken decorative faucet handle in bath (still worked OK), kitchen sink has an extra hole where a sprayer used too be, squeaky door hinges, dead remote button cell battery for sound bar. Extra AA and AAA batteries are provided.

This Condo is absolutely perfect. Our family really enjoyed the facilities, location, awesome views and the owner was so easy to deal with.
