"Poor reviews are primarily for interactions with management. First night I arrived the AC in my room was not working. After I already unpacked in the room and checked in, Management said they would not be able to fix it until the next day but offered me a different room in a completely “guesthouse” that was 15 mins walk away, but only for the first night until they could fix it. Obviously this was too inconvienet, so I suffered through the night with just a fan.
Management reached out and apologized and said they would comp my first night, but that I had to reach out to hotels.com and let them know they had to reach out to Southernmost to initiate the refund. I did that, but waited two days and still didn’t hear anything from southernmost (and still haven’t to this day) about my refund.
The $500/nt price for this price is just wild. The hotel and ammenities are pretty underwhelming, but at minimum I’d expect great service from management when issues like this happen. Unfortunately that was not my experience.
