Amazing place

We enjoyed our stay here and almost everything was perfect! The only thing is it seemed like it hadn’t been stayed in for a while because there was some dust and scorpions around. Love the idea of the communal area, would be a great place to visit with you family if you are able to rent all of the cabins. Very conveniently located with just a 20 minute drive to Fredericksburg and about 10 to Kerrville. The AC worked well and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.

Stay was nice. It is advertised with a fenced in yard. That yard is shared with other cabins. Pets can be a problem if everyone has theirs.

Excellent Cabin Experience - A Gem in TX hill country.
Peaceful. 5 minutes from town - close enough for supplies yet far enough for seclusion. Met other wonderful people and our dog was able to run and play with other dogs. The fire pit was a nightly event. If you want to really relax, this place fits the bill. The owners are friendly and cooperative. I highly recommend this location.

I did not stay there the two nites i planned. It was inaccessible for me.
This is on a ranch with a fenced area near the home owner, i think. The cabins are in this fenced area. I struggled to open the gate..old and rusty. The cabin i rented was locked and i couldnt get in..no one was in any of the other cabins or in the house when i called the lister, it went to voicemail. About an hour later he had his cleaning lady call me. She was no help..it was over 100 degrees, i couldnt get in, i could see there was no outside lighting, the ground was very uneven with irregular stones for path. I am 69 yrs old and disabled. The picture doesnt show the difficulties for older people. I have asked for at least a partial refund since i had to get a hotel for those two nights. He has not responded. I am not happy with this owner. Most places tell you if there place has thse difficulties. All other VBRO homes i have stay in have been wonerful.

The cabin was quaint and clean. One nice item would have been for the air conditioner turned on shortly before arrival where any issues would have been know. The host was attentive to concerns promptly.

It was fine. Weird that you're not supposed to leave dirty dishes, but there is no kitchen sink. There was dish soap on the bathroom sink counter. So you can wash out that wine glass.

Relaxing getaway
This cabin is perfect for a relaxing getaway from busy city life. It's clean and well furnished. I especially liked the fenced-in yard around it. We could let our dog roam free while we enjoyed building a fire, making smores and watching fireflies.

Wonderful Cabin for a Weekend
A perfect cabin experience that is easy to get to and from. The property was lovely, and it's very private as well even with the other cabins close by. A great place to stay for a weekend. If possible, I would recommend renting out the other cabins with some friends or family and you are set for a really great time with the communal fire pit.

Great weekend get away
This is a great place for a weekend get away in the hill country. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the country and our dog enjoyed the enclosed area to run around in. It is close to wineries and shopping in Fredericksburg.

This general area is one of our favorites to return to because of the options in and around Kerrville. This time, all we really wanted was a place to stay with our small dog. Check in and out were easy, there were restaurants within an easy drive (we cannot recommend Rails at the Depot enough) and with the small fridge, toaster oven, Keurig, microwave, and grill, we have handled all of our meals on site. (We did bring a camp stove & pan for eggs in the morning.) The cabin was better stocked than anticipated - I can't remember the last rental we stayed at that had a knife that was actually sharp. Everything was clean, the small table extended and was big enough for our needs. The common area shared a fire pit with chairs, a few scattered benches, a grill for each cabin, and a picnic table. All in all, a wonderful getaway, and it would provide privacy for couples if a group were to rent each of the cabins and share the common area

The spot is beautiful. The owner planted grass, put in a sprinkler system, and has 4 cabins spaced adequately apart surrounding a large fire pit. Each cabin is supplied with a charcoal grill. However, the cabin was really dark inside with little light. The worst thing was the bed. It was really terrible. It made a lot of noise whenever you move and the springs are totally shot. I got bitten by a spider on my toe and had to see a doc am taking antibiotics for it. My wife thought she left a clip on the bed and picked up a spider instead. With a new mattress and attention to possible spiders, pretty cool.

Needed a good restful place
My hubby & I were attending a reunion and wanted a place close to get a break rest & unwind after each day. This cabin was perfect. Close as 15 minutes but felt like miles away and so peaceful ee could turn off the visiting and just listen to nature sitting on porch. I wish we had time to use the fire pit it looked so inviting. The cabin was exactly as described & what was pictured. Jim communicated with me easily and has a beautiful place. Looks like he is always making improvements to better your stay. Will be back.

Beautiful Retreat!
This was a wonderful experience! Checking in and checking out could not be easier. It is a quaint comfy cabin. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The a/c works great and so does the small refrigerator. I have no complaints at all! I spent a lot of time rocking on the front porch enjoying nature! I highly recommend this! I will likely go back in the future! I loved it! Quick response with the owners as well! ❤️

What a gem!
We booked the cabin for a concert in Kerrville that weekend. We were so surprised and pleased of the country, ranch feel of it and the location. Absolutely perfect! The cabin and grounds itself were just precious. Our dog loved roaming and n the fenced in area while supervised. Your Herefords are gorgeous! We are definitely coming back! A+ visit!

Jumping Off Spot
This was a perfect "Jumping Off Spot" for our weekend getaway. Very small cabin but less stuff to deal with and the price was right. Very nice location as we planned on seeing a lot of the area. Centrally located between Fredericksburg and Kerrville. Short distance to Bandera and you must drive the road from Kerrville to Medina, beautiful. No frills cabin but just what we wanted, a place to clean up and sleep and was very pet friendly, fenced in yard. Lots of deer in driveway every evening.

Nice overall. Comfortable bed. Amenities listed said coffee maker so I brought coffee only to find it was for k-cups. I had to get k-cups from H‑E‑B. The a/c was a little noisy. And the outside sprinkler system would spray my arm when sitting outside in the rocking chair. Overall it was nice to get away from the big city.

Nice rustic cabin
Spent the weekend here with my dog and met up with some friends in Kerville on Saturday. Cabin is a described although I wasn't aware of the other cabins on the property (despite the fact you can see one on the pic). Still, the other lodgers were respectful of each other and I got the quiet I wanted. I liked how we were fenced in. Linens, towels, and kitchen wares were provided, which were very nice! Owner's instructions were thorough. Felt very safe here.
