The room smelled like an ashtray, real bad!
The water drained super slow in the sink.
The fitted sheet was too small for the mattress.
No SUB plug was available.
The accent chair was ripped and broken seat support.
The staff were super sweet and helpful.
The owners need to update and fix these rooms.

Advertised with a pool but told it was closed. The pool was drained and did not look like it was under repair. Breakfast was small muffins and bagels only. Set up for waffles but there was no batter.

While checking in it took an extremely long time to check in. The room was dark, we bought a bulb for a lamp and the lamp had a short. The bath tub was to smooth and needed something for standing safely then getting out of the tub there was no grab bar for assistance. I didn't like the handicapped room that I asked for last year with no place to put the morning items needed for dressing and I didn't request it do to that last year. The breakfast was slim. Seems no one thinks about those who cannot have sugar. There are a lot of diabetics today and a noncoated cereal would be welcome. The hotel was comfortable for sleeping it was quiet. Thank you.
It was dirty, the swimming pool was out of order!! The only reason I stayed there for the swimming pool ,I took my grandchildren there so we could swim!! What a bad time. I should have gotten a discount!!!

What I liked was that the staff were friendly and accommodating. It all went downhill after that. The hallway smelled of smoke despite this being a non-smoking environment. The baseboard/trim in the bathroom was badly separated from the wall leaving a bit of a chasm behind the toilet next to the tub. The tub itself had long hairs in it, was all knocked up and discolored, and the shower head was not adjustable; you couldn’t tilt or turn it to better cover you with the spray. I will give it a five for great hot water however!
Whomever had the room next to mine decided to stay up and watch tv all night. It wasn’t that the volume was loud, it was a problem of a poorly sealed connecting door between our rooms and the paper thin walls. He probably heard every time I cleared my throat. I certainly heard his attempts.
Breakfast was the last straw. No eggs or any other hot food. There was a double waffle iron but no batter, the temperature settings were in Celsius, but there was a conversion chart. There were no instructions as to how long to heat the non-existent batter nor to what temperature to set the dial. I did manage to find the hot water and had to settle for a bowl of plain instant oatmeal to get anything with some warmth beyond the coffee. The one remaining donut was hard as the proverbial rock. I wonder how many weeks it had been there. Thankfully, there’s a McDonalds nearby.
I almost forgot, the tv remote batteries dead.
Lady working desk was beyond rude. Cursed at me. Got loud with me. Apparently her 2nd night working also. Ended up leaving a night early and lost out on money because of the disrespect.

In all fairness I never judge a book by its cover but in my span of staying at hotels. This was by far the worst. We were there for a wedding and it was the 4 minutes from the venue so we bit the bullet. From finding bed bugs, the toilet doesn’t drain, the showers were filthy same with the chairs in the room. I was honestly scared to sleep there. The only good thing I can take away from this was the heat in the room. I never complain but this hotel needs a lot of work.

Perfectly serviceable inn with friendly desk help who changed our room assignment upon request to a first floor room--much appreciated. This is an older motel but reasonably well kept. Has an indoor pool which was closed when we arrived. Good wifi, fridge & microwave in room, comfortable beds. Everything worked. Good value IMHO and we'd stay here again.
The shower was Rusted out the so called breakfast was just bread and water so it was bring your own food barley any thing to sleep with and it was smelly in the room

We didn't stay. I only booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. I'm disabled, and have many back & neck issues. The ad doesn't say that their pool is closed. The clerk didn't say anything about the pool being closed when we checked in. We struggled to carry all our stuff up to the 2nd floor (no elevator) then changed into our bathing suits. went to the pool to find a closed sign on it. The desk clerk came out & said it was closed because it needed chemicals & because of the weather. We asked Why because of the weather? She said the roof leaks & they don't open it when it rains. We looked and the entire pool had drops of rain coming in.

The hotel was dirty. The sink in the room wouldn’t drain. Turned the shower on and got a blast of brown water shoot out. The toilet would almost overflow every time it was flushed. The room looked like it hadn’t been swept in a long time.

Unfortunately, this is the only hotel in Kenton. Mold on the bathroom ceiling from a water leak upstairs, bathtub faucet would not turn off, carpet what threadbare in places and filthy, vanity light did not work.
The receptionist charged my cc again for the stay even after i told her it was paid for thru Expedia and she confirmed that. I've disputed it thru the cc company.
Poor security. The side doors are blocked open by a stop so they are not locked at night.

Description indicated fitnessroom but that was closed. There was an anytime fitness a few blocks away you could borrow a fob for but thats not convenient. Pool was closed. Provided breakfast was pretty much breads. Description should have indicated continental breakfast. The path to where the breakfast was was extra dark.
Might have been a single burnt out light bulb but still sketchy. Security door next to us that was supposed to be exit only wouldnt close all the way. Not totally sure if it was latched or not but it didnt give as warm and fuzzies. We did go for a walk around the area and felt safe.
The property was run down and was dirty. The pool was disgusting as well. We will not be staying there again. One of the exit doors would not open and was falling out of its frame. Our room was gross.

I was very disappointed, I will never stay there again. Key cards didn't work from outside to get to our rooms. Pool closed, exercise room closed. Rude workers the hole was terrible. Lucky for us we were only staying 1 night.

The main reason we were staying at this hotel was for the pool. It was not open because of maintenance. If it was closed they should let someone know. I put in my filter for an indoor pool. I would have stayed somewhere else so that my family could swim. Then we got to the room and the tv didn't work. We told the girl at the front desk and all she said is well it should. She did not make any effort to get if fixed.

Have stayed at this property about 18 years ago and it was very nice. It has since gotten into a very run down state. Repairs are needed to many items and even though staff is perhaps difficult to obtain, cleanliness was terribly lacking, so much so that if it were a requirement for a license to do business, it should not be granted. Staff was very cordial but situation was out of their control.

I’ve been traveling to many different places and stayed at over 50 different hotels, this by far is the worst. Unhelpful and lying staff, shower and ac didn’t work and we were denied having it fixed or our room switched and the staff was rude to us.

Common areas - hallways, vending area, entry ways were quite dated, not terribly clean, carpet very worn, loose in some areas. Not visually appealing.
Registration lobby was very clean, up to date, visually appealing. Rooms were not completely modern, but not horribly dated; and they were clean and comfortable.
Easy to find, ample parking, excellent value for the price. Would stay here again and would recommend it.
My room smelled like urine, the heater would not shut-off (even when on the "off" position) and when leaving the room for our fundraiser event the door would not lock. Because of these things I chose not to stay and checked out after the event, wasted over $100.00 on this room. Also, pictures on-line are old pictures.
