We were very pleased with this property. The ocean front location is beautiful and we frequently saw turtles in the water in front of the house. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The property was clean and well-maintained. The property is professionally managed and the management team was very responsive.

Family vacation

The house is just like photos. Our family of 6 had plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen, every room has its own individual patio with sitting area (even the little one)the pool and hot tub next to the ocean made it really amazing. Definitely 5 stars!

Beautiful and relaxing stay.

This house and the surrounding area are perfect if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, tropical vacation. The house was clean and beautifully situated if you enjoy listening to the sound of the ocean (which we LOVE). The neighborhood was walkable and peaceful. We would stay here again and again.

Pretty perfect

It was beautiful. Hot without windows open, but cooled off quickly. Small ants food get into a few things like food and tooth brush so put everything in sealed bags, but it definitely did not ruin our stay. Kids lived the pool and adults loved the hot tub. Can't beat the view!!

Great experience on the Volcano side of the island

Unique property right on the water with waves crashing in 24x7. Sunrise is worth waking up for. Kids had a blast and we got good use out of the pool and kitchen. We did a lot of activities within 2 hours of the house, highly recommend getting a tour guide for volcanoes national park to learn about all the unique details.

Unique location

Property was as shown in pictures. It is a bit of a drive from amenities and the town of Hilo so just be prepared before heading to the house. It offers a private and quiet area to relax. The hot tub was great at the end of the day. Wonderful views of the ocean and neat volcanic shoreline.

Spectacular setting in East Hawaii

This is a stunning property on the lava cliffs near the town of Pahoa. The house is clean and spacious with a large comfortable kitchen/living/dining area overlooking spectacular ocean views. At night it was amazing to hear the crashing waves mixed with the chirps of the coqui frogs. It was easy to take nearby day trips to Hawaii volcanoes national park, Hilo, and South Puna. All our family agreed that this was one of our favorite rentals. We would love to stay here again.

A Great Place To Relax

The house was exactly as advertised-right on the ocean. Our evenings were spent having drinks and enjoying the scenery. The pool was great for our kids. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working at the time, which was a bummer, but normally it would be running. The rooms were nice. The house is a little ways from restaurants and grocery stores, so be sure to stock up on food before getting there. Nice walks from the house as well. Be sure to watch the sunrise at the end of the road if you're awake at that time.

Beautiful home,and we got lucky with the weather!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is absolutely gorgeous, and if you're lucky enough to have a clear morning, the sunrise setting can't be beat. We had not realized that the house was not air conditioned, and upon arrival it was HOT, but truly as soon as you get things opened up it cools off pretty quickly. The property manager was very responsive to questions - the hot tub wasn't working and she was able to tell us what to do immediatley. And FYI there is an alarm system panel inside the door, but no alarm to set (this is not mentioned in the house book). The only thing we did not love about this property was how far it is from everything. This side of the island does not have as many restaurants or shopping areas, and it is a long drive to anything, anyway. I would recommend this place for a "get away from it all" vacation - the kitchen is well equipped and the home and yard really invite you to stick around and relax.

Great Memories

A fabulous location and home which met our requirements. We enjoyed our stay so much that we would like to return to continue our experience. The photos are accurate and describe the house better than words. The garden is thoughtfully landscaped providing a variety of plants and seating areas to encourage thoughtful serenity. The house is well equipped, however I suggest that the filthy fan kept in the bedroom closet be replaced or cleaned. The TV did not function even when following the instructions provided but we simply used our streaming device so it was not a problem. The hot tub only had jets functioning for two seating areas which worked out as it was just the two of us. The location is very good - 18 minutes from Hilo; 25 minutes from Volcano. Restaurants and groceries are 15-20 minutes drive. Overall it is a quiet neighbourhood. However, be very aware that the empty lot adjacent to the property is used as access to the shoreline by some shady characters who live out of their vehicle. We observed these unpleasant individuals daily when the weather was fine. Fortunately the weather worked in our favour and the wind and surf were high so the vagrant did not appear for the last few days of our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: -25-30 minutes from Hilo, if you don't like driving to get anywhere, don't get this house. We were fine with that because we wanted a little more quiet and private.-Scenery out back is beautiful. Sunrises, waves hitting the rocks, and volcanic rock is really cool. The master has a really nice balcony with even better views than the yard. No beach close though.-Pool is small but clean and it was a perfect temperature for staying cool without getting cold. Hot tub was clean and nice.-(Visited in August) House was hot with no A/C and the fans are just not enough to keep air moving. The fans need to be upgraded to be bigger in the main room and higher flow in the lower bedrooms, in my opinion.-The windows and doors need to be fixed for being able to lock and close better. If it's all adults, not a big deal. But we had a 5, 3, and 2 year old. We ended up carrying a mattress upstairs to have them sleep in the large master on the floor because we did not feel safe leaving them downstairs. No A/C meant you need windows and doors open. Not ideal for young kids on the main level with the master upstairs, or at all if you're into your kids' safety in a place you're not familiar with.-The neighborhood isn't the best. It's also not the worst. There's a mix of nice places and complete junk. You're not going to feel like everybody is on vacation if that's what you're after. It's very much full of locals, which isn't a bad thing. It was quiet for us, no funny stuff seemed to be going on anywhere.-I usually don't have a problem with tech, but the TV is funky and in my opinion, a vacation house should have something that's easier and newer than what this probably is. We could not access some of the popular apps most people use and couldn't login to others.-Overall, the house is useful and comfortable enough. Plenty of open room and patio space to relax. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, could be a little better.-There is plenty to do around

We loved our time at this property. The house cools down quickly once you open all the windows. Check in was super easy and our two questions were answered quickly via text. The home felt like a destination unto itself. Watching the sunrise and turtles in the AM and relaxing in the pool at night were perfect ways to bookend our Hilo-side adventures.
