About this property

*NEW* A Big Island Home for Fourteen Near the Puna Coast

  • Summary:

Settle in for a longer Big Island stay with room for everyone at this six-bedroom, four-bath Keaʻau home, just 26 blocks from the ocean. Sleeping up to fourteen, it is made for the kind of trip where people can actually gather: cook in the full kitchen, trade stories in the open living area, and bring dinner outside to the sunny patio with a gas grill and picnic tables. Farmer's markets and convenience stores are nearby, and the Puna coast gives you a wilder side of the island to explore. Head toward Hawaiian Paradise Park, Paradise Cliffs, Makuʻu Point, or the beaches at Shipman and Haʻena, then come back to a home where the group can spread out. Please note this property requires a 31-day minimum stay. It is an inviting fit for extended family time, a seasonal stay, or a long visit with friends who want a more residential Big Island experience.

    The Space:

This six-bedroom, four-bath home sleeps up to fourteen and gives a large group an open layout rather than a series of tight rooms. The living space has comfortable seating and a smart TV, while the full kitchen supports real meals between outings. Out back, a sunny patio with a gas grill and picnic tables makes barbecues and long lunches easy. A 31-day minimum stay is required.

    Guest Access:

This home in Keaau offers a private entrance and patio, set near the ocean with a garden backyard for relaxing outdoors. Guests will find towels provided and wine glasses for a nice touch, plus nearby shopping and a laundromat for longer stays.

    The Neighborhood:

Keaʻau sits on the lush Puna side of the Big Island, south of Hilo, where rainforest roads and sea cliffs make the landscape feel far from the resort coast. This is a spread-out, residential area, so a car is useful for groceries, Hilo dining, and coastal exploring. Hawaiian Paradise Park, Paradise Cliffs, Makuʻu Point, and nearby beach areas offer places to watch the ocean's power and find quieter stretches of shoreline. Local farmers markets are part of the rhythm here, too. Choose Keaʻau for an extended stay that feels grounded in the island's greener, less polished side, with enough room to slow down and live more like a local.

    Getting Around:

Hilo International Airport is about 20 minutes away, a quick and easy drive. A rental car is recommended for reaching the Puna coast's beaches and Hilo's shopping and dining just down the road. Keaau itself is a small community with a modest walkable center, so most errands call for a short drive. Parking is generally simple and available on site.

    Other Things to Note:

Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Minimum stay: 31 nights.
