"I just want to say thank you for the three days. If I had seen the listing I would’ve booked it for the two in a half weeks we were staying. This is a great place to stay with your family they provided everything which was great. The beds were comfy, the house is clean and great. Location was easy to find but we are from Hawaii so that could be why it was easy. 10/10 recommend."

"This property fully deserves its near-perfect reviews. Plenty of space for our family of four, utilizing the pull-out futon and air mattress. Our kids loved the koi pond, finding giant frogs and snails around the lawn, and waking up to a rooster crowing. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and open windows kept the unit cool enough even in June. Idyllic location, relatively short drive to Volcanoes NP or anything else on Hilo side. Very well stocked including full cabinet of beach gear. Friendly and helpful hosts. We hope to visit again someday."

"The views from the hotel were outstanding. We faced Hilo Bay and loved the beauty of the property. I am diabetic so I would have preferred a breakfast that included some protein. The bread and fruit was nothing I could eat so I gave mine to my family. The coffee was great. I enjoyed the egg dishes I had in the restaurant. Everyone was friendly."

"We loved our stay in the downstairs apartment with our own outside terrace overlooking the garden. It was spacious with a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for extra people. It was great to have our own kitchen and to have a big jar of coffee provided to kickstart each day. It’s not far from the Volcano Park with easy access to Hilo. Thoroughly recommend staying here."

"We enjoyed this unique property, especially the deck in the morning and evening. The stray cats were sweet and my daughter really liked having them around. Only issue was with the showers. The outdoor closed in shower was very hot and unable to change the temp; the indoor shower was chilly and the other outdoor shower ‘one with nature’ was just right. Other than that, the property was as described."

"It is a very interesting place. There is no air conditioning, so you hear all of the nature sounds - most of which I couldn't identify. It is unbelievably clean!!! The owner has much pride in it. The wife shared with me all of her dreams for the place - including a hot tub, an additional garden space, a space for chickens and an office for her."
