"Great location in a quite street, roomy house with comfy beds. The owner was lovely and helpful and mentioned places to see. Sea views were small but patsy did mention she was going to cut back some trees. I must mention the shower was a 2/10 for pressure. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay.Thank you Patsy 😊"

"The bach is located in a very quiet street with a beautiful view of the mountain. The kids loved climbing in the Pōhutukawa tree and using the swings. The bach could do with a deep clean and fixing the shower but the owners have made a decent effort to put in new carpets, nice decor, good furniture and new appliances. Kawhia itself is a beautiful little town and we loved going down to Hot water beach."

"Loved our stay at this bach, the views and sunsets were amazing. Very far from shops/gas stations but thats ok. Clean property, our baby had a good time down in the water and we were able to put his tv show on before bed. No problems at all, thankyou for sharing your property with us for the weekend."

"The Big Deck is exactly the place for some RNR perfect spot amazing views bach has all you need dated but perfect for that kiwi bach experience by the beach ⛱️ was clean and tidy plenty of space so just perfect for us host was lovely great to communicate with everything went smooth even with a last min request to take the fur babies 😊 thanks so much Hine nd John we had such a nice break away the bach was awesome we did not want to leave just pecfect 👍😊👌"

"This was a great place to chill out, with a wonderful outlook over Aotea Harbour and very quiet at this time of year (end April). Neat and clean with very a well equipped kitchen. It was comfortable for our stay but expect it could get very hot in summer, and be cold in winter (only one small panel heater for a large space)."

Spotlessly Clean, comfortable and warm.
"We stay here as a family frequently. This is our preferred accommodation in Kawhia and we always book to stay here. We frequently return to Kawhia for funerals and Marae related occasions. It's spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. You have all you need to cook meals with eating utensils. Washing machine etc available upon request for laundry needs. The shower and bathroom is modern, clean with plenty of hot water. Finally, the owners went out of their way, to return belongings accidentally left behind after checkout. We are very grateful. A wonderful property and wonderful and kind proprietors."
