Nestled in a peaceful, leafy residential area of North Katoomba, this single-level retreat sits on a spacious, gently sloping garden block. It overlooks the treetops of the National Park, offering a front-row seat to the vibrant birdlife that frequents the area. Colourful rosellas and king parrots flit through the trees, all perfectly framed from the spacious back deck.
Designed with a tasteful blend of modern and rustic elements, Shiralee's Rest exudes a distinct mountain feel, making it a true sanctuary. Inside, stylish finishes and gorgeous hardwood timber floors throughout create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The open-plan living space is perfect for relaxing and entertaining, with a well-equipped modern kitchen that flows into the dining area, featuring a large table for gathering. The dining area extends to the back deck, where you can enjoy serene views of the surrounding greenery.
This family-friendly retreat is designed for year-round comfort, with ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning throughout and a cosy combustion log fireplace for those chilly mountain nights.
The home is fully fenced, providing a safe space for children to explore the garden, bounce on the trampoline, or relax on the garden swing. A variety of games and toys in the sunroom keep kids entertained, while the bunk room adds a fun, novelty space for them to enjoy.
The modern full bathroom is fresh and spacious, featuring heat lamps and a luxurious single-person bathtub, with a second toilet adding extra convenience.
Shiralee's Rest is equipped with all the modern amenities needed for a relaxing getaway, including WiFi, a 43" Smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, microwave, and coffee machine. It also features a washing machine and drying racks, a compost garden, and a BBQ for outdoor dining.
For your comfort, quality linen is provided, and the property is strictly no pets and no smoking inside, ensuring a clean and peaceful environment for all guests.

ACCESSIBILITY & LAYOUT
• Ground Floor: Three steps from driveway onto the front porch, level entry throughout, lounge, sunroom, dining, kitchen, 1.5 bathroom, bedrooms 1, 2, and 3, and back deck.
FEES
• The base tariff includes 4 people; extra guests are charged an additional fee per person, per night.
• Electric car charging is $20 per use, payable separately after booking.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING FEE
• Please advise if you intend to use the house electricity to charge your electric car.
• There is a fee of $20 per charge, which is charged separately.
• Kindly inform us of the number of times you plan to charge your car during your stay.
• There is no dedicated EV port at the property.
• Guests will need to bring their own extension lead and EV-compatible charging cable to connect to the property’s electricity supply.
CLEANING FEE
• The cleaning fee reflects the actual cost of professional cleaning and linen hire for each booking.
FIREWOOD SEASON
• 1st May - 30th September.
• During firewood season, a starter pack of firewood, kindling, firelighters, and matches is provided for your first night.
• More firewood and supplies can be purchased locally from petrol stations.
TELEVISION
• Please note that poor weather conditions may affect live free-to-air channels.
• We cannot guarantee a consistent television signal.
• On-demand channels and streaming apps are available through the Smart TV using your accounts.
9PM OUTDOOR NOISE RESTRICTION CURFEW
• For the comfort of our neighbours, please adhere to a noise curfew from 9pm to 8am in all outdoor areas.
• We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment during these hours.
IN-HOUSE GUESTS ONLY
• This property is exclusively for registered guests.
• It cannot be used for gatherings or events, and no additional visitors are allowed without permission.
NO PARTY OR NOISE DISRUPTION POLICY
• We enforce a strict no-party and no-noise disruption policy.
• As this is a quiet residential area, any breach will result in immediate eviction without a refund.
PAYMENT POLICY
• Deposit: A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm bookings made more than 30 days before the arrival date.
• Balance & Security Bond: The remaining balance and the refundable security bond must be paid 30 days before the arrival date.
• Full Payment: For bookings made within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment and the refundable security bond are required at the time of booking.
• Transaction Fee: A non-refundable 2.9% Stripe transaction fee applies to all payments, including the bond.
• Statement: Payments will appear as ACCOMMODATE BLUE MOUNT LENNOX HEAD on your bank statement.
• Agreement: By making payments, you agree to our terms and conditions.
• Bond Refund: Bond refunds are processed 7 business days after check-out and may take 5-10 days to appear in your bank account.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Standard Cancellations: Cancellations made within 30 days before arrival are non-refundable. Cancellations made 31 days or more before arrival incur a non-refundable AU$5.00 channel manager fee.
• Date Transfers: Changes to booking dates are not permitted within 30 days of the arrival date.
• Event Cancellations: Accommodated is not responsible for the cancellation of events, functions, or activities, which are subject to our standard cancellation policy.
• COVID-19 Lockdown: If travel is prohibited due to a COVID-19 lockdown, bookings can be transferred up to one year in advance with one free date change.
