"Our stay at Stoney Creek Hotel Kansas City - Independence was unfortunately the worst hotel experience we’ve had. There were extremely large groups of unattended children throughout the property. I’m not referring to a handful, there were easily two dozen pre-teen children running up and down the hallways late at night and occupying the pool area with little to no supervision. After 10 PM, the hallway running and yelling continued. When we politely asked them to stop, they became even louder. The suite above our room had children running, jumping, and moving furniture until nearly 2 AM, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We reported this to the front desk around midnight. The staff member who helped us was very polite and professional, and he did go upstairs to speak with them, but unfortunately the situation was never resolved and the noise continued. I understand hotels can’t make children behave, but there should be enforceable policies for the adults responsible for them. It isn’t fair for other guests — who paid the same rate, to dodge unsupervised children in hallways or feel like they need to watch children in the pool who clearly cannot swim. This is especially disappointing because my family has stayed here several times a year, but after this experience that will likely have to change."

"Room was lacking in amenities no robes as listed or the biggest no coffee pot. This is our 3rd stay at the fontaine and I regret to say we will probably chose a new hotel for next years event. "

"The internet and AC were great, our in-room phone did not work, and the side tables were very dusty. We also didn't have enough towels, only 2 for 2 people. Couldn't call for room service on room phone, had to use personal phone. Asked for more towels and pillows and were told we needed to come down to the desk to retrieve them. Also, couldn't find hairdryer, eventually after searching everywhere, found it inside the draw safe, so random. The room service food was pretty good, but pricey. The menu had a happy hour price which I specifically mentioned while order, but when food was delivered the bill had a $5 delivery fee which was told on phone no fee. Asked the delivery person how come we weren't charged happy hour prices, he said that was only for dine in. Wish someone would have called back to let me know this prior to processing our order. "
