"Wonderful views very helpful friendly staff good food options walkable to the town. Could do with a quiet curfew at 11pm as people very noisy till early hours and not much sleep perhaps a small change to hotel policy that quiet after 12 pm? Otherwise was very good stay and would recommend "

"The room was basic but it had almost everything we needed. Cons: the wifi didn’t work very well, the bathroom was basic, and the fridge didn’t work. Pros: the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet but still conveniently located, and we got to watch monkeys swinging around in the trees outside. The host of the property was lovely and he served up a great breakfast each morning. Overall I did enjoy staying at this place. "

"La Pentera is a new property which has a unique concept of a tree house. The property is quite far from the Udawalawe National Park - about 30 km or so. The directions are also unclear, even if you use googlemaps. The property is new and in great condition. However, there are things that could be better, especially the food. The bathroom has hot water though there is some water leakage. A great experience stay but could be better."

"“I recently stayed here, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. When I first looked it up, I saw some older reviews that were negative, but those were from years ago when the building wasn’t finished. Now, it’s a beautifully built place—spotlessly clean, no bugs (which can be an issue in Ella), with a comfortable bed, spacious room, and a pristine bathroom. Everything was just perfect. But the real highlight was the view. From the balcony, I saw the most breathtaking sunrises and panoramas you can find in Ella. The service was outstanding. Priyanath and his team, including the chef and another staff member, were incredibly attentive and always went above and beyond to meet my requests—whether it was arranging a budget-friendly car service or responding quickly on WhatsApp. Even the owner was always available and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting in the future. It’s a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back "

"I had the pleasure of staying one night at Ella Crest by Aloft Hotel, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. The property is located in a serene spot with breathtaking views of Ella's lush hills and misty landscapes. Even though my stay was short, the peaceful setting immediately made me feel relaxed. The building is modern yet blends beautifully with the natural surroundings, giving it both comfort and charm. My room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities provided were more than enough for a comfortable stay. The attention to cleanliness and detail was evident throughout the property. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with genuine smiles. Their professionalism and friendliness made the experience feel personalized and special. The food was also excellent, with fresh and flavorful options that exceeded my expectations for a boutique-style property. Although I only stayed for one night, it was a memorable visit, and I would highly recommend Ella Crest by Aloft Hotel to anyone visiting Ella — whether for a short getaway or a longer holiday. "The view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it there’s bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if there’s so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. "
