St. James is idyllic, and a holiday destination for those seeking to wind down and take things slower - Sonnekus is also ideally located for everyone looking to unwind, and enjoy local cuisine, and white sand beaches. Will definitely be coming back for more!"

"Amazing ocean views to wake up to! Friendly and helpful staff, a luggage elevator to get my heavy suitcase upstairs easily, yummy big breakfasts cooked to order, laundry service, and even a hiking guide for the mountain behind Fish Hoek. I was a bit worried the noise from the road and the train would be a problem because I’m sensitive to that kind of thing but it was absolutely fine. We even had log fires when the weather got chilly! I LOVED this place and will definitely be back! ❤️❤️❤️"

"Highly recommended. Stunning place, perfectly situated, well-appointed. It has been beautifully decorated in keeping with its historical nature. Breakfast overlooking the ocean was magic. It's a safe, short walk to the beach (we swam first thing every morning). If I were to critique something, it's well-maintained for its age and proximity to the sea, but a few touch-ups, mostly outside and to the slightly tired patio furniture, would be welcome. Note, there is an internal parking spot for 1 car only."
