"Excellent location right next to the National Park. A lot of really good activity and food recommendations from the host. Pool was great to cool off in at the end of a big day. "

"Everything about the property was lovely, from the wild kangaroos that greeted us at the front gate, to the spectacular garden, to the swimming pool and animals wondering by. "

Kevin at reception was a blast. Made us feel right at home with a quote from Monty Python’s Holy Grail.
Supermarkets and nightlife around.
On-site car parking made moving around Darwin with a rental so easy.

Enjoyed Yellow Waters Billabong Cruise which is right next to lodge, the room was very comfy & clean. Enjoyed the buffet brekkie & all Lodge amenities.

Stayed at the Walkabout Lodge twice in July 2015. The rooms were very clean including the toilet and shower. The bed was very comfortable as well, no problem for a good nights sleep. The aircon was ok, a bit on the noisy side and when I stayed the second time the aircon gave out. [electrical problem]
However the manager soon fixed the problem and transferred me to another room.
The restaurant was well run with pleasant, smiling staff. The food was also excellent.

Maybe doing some of the leaf-blowing and other noisier cleaning tasks after 8, that’s all. Brilliant spot to stay or launch into the National Park. Menu was very good too

The cabin had everything we needed to return from epic adventures and relax and have a meal. Whilst the rooms were not big, storage space was provided to ease the congestion. We cooked in our cabin most nights. However, the meals at the bistro had a lovely outlook over the swimming pool and although they did not constitute gourmet cuisine, at least they had vegetarian options. Judy, Neil, and other staff, were very friendly and helpful. Coming from Adelaide where recycling is big, we were...

We love it here. It was our 2nd visit. Chris does a marvellous job making people feel welcome and works very hard along with his wife and volunteers to maintain the facilities. We love that all the rooms have a different theme and the animals and butterflies add to the quirkiness and interest of the butterfly farm. The food is also great.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff - I will definitely stay here again. I have stayed in the centre of Darwin before and am so glad we didn't stay in the city again - the Tropical Resort has it all - and more!
