Rare BEACH FRONT Home at Kona Surf and Racquet Club. Accessible beach šŸ–ļø

Our "Hale Honu" (turtle house) is a rare find in Kona. There are many ocean view homes in Kona but very few beach front properties. You can walk out the back door to your own semi-private beach and drop yourself in the sand. Watch the whales, dolphins and manta rays. Turtles find this beach a quiet and peaceful resting place so enjoy them from a distance as they sleep on the sand. A few minutes down the beach you will see native Hawaiian Petroglyphs and Heiau's. You will not have to leave the property to enjoy all the amazing culture.

Look out over the grassy lawn from your lanai that previews the tropical shrubbery where your own path to the beach only a few steps away. The beach is an oasis to put on reef walker shoes and explore the home of Hawaiian sea turtles or to spread out beach chairs or mats and share some first-class beach time with those you love. All sorts of tropical birds are attracted to the lush tropical growth in our location and will often wait for a treat just off the lanai.

Enjoy your oceanfront location with seating for four at a dining table with glass top in the shade of your covered lanai with overhead ceiling fan. Stretch out on the lounge if you are trying to add to that summer tan. Have a morning cup of Kona coffee with your breakfast that can be handed via a pass through window from the kitchen or in the evening; have a BBQ or your own prepared gourmet dinner with an incredible sunset for your backdrop. There is no better location in any restaurant in Kona.

Located on world-famous Ali'i Drive the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is a 4-star Oceanfront Resort located 4.5 miles south of Kailua-Kona town. This gated complex is just 1/8 mile away from the Keauhou Shopping Center, which has a grocery store, restaurants, shops, a bank, a post office and a cinema. Even better ,we are a 1/2 mile from one of the most popular snorkeling beaches in Hawaii - Kahalu'u State Park (also known as Turtle Beach).

Your home away from home is a two story, two bed, two bath island home close to both the pool and ocean in your backyard. This home has been beautifully decorated with an elegant but homey quaint romantic cottage feel. It was recently remodeled to include: AC [AC has a fee for your stay] throughout, new appliances and everything you would need to call home and have a great vacation.
Watch the sunset from the beach or your Lanai and enjoy the sunrise in your bed looking out over the water and waves. Enjoy all the attention to details for your full enjoyment to include high speed WiFi, iPhone speakers, Netflix and more. This is the perfect place for you to get away and enjoy all of what Kona has to offer. Make yourself at home. Stays over 8 days require additional cleaning fee . Great place to explore Hawaii

What a pleasure to be able to walk out of the condo and be on the beach and relax. Lots of beach paraphernalia comes with this rental. Very comfortable inside too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was wonderful. We appreciated the details like having beach equipment and a cooler available and night lights in the condo. The well equipped kitchen and washer dryer really helped our family for the logistics of life. We loved the beach access for the kiddos to play in the sand (not a swimming beach) and watch sunsets. The location was perfect and access to groceries and restaurants as well island activities. Mahalo for a great stay!

Fantastic stay

This area is truely wonderful. It about a ten minute walk to the best snorkeling and turtles ever. This property is also a reasonable walk to shopping and cafes that were excellent. This property has exceptional views and is perfectly set up and equipped for an excellent stay. I would highly recommend this property and would love to visit again.

FABULOUS!! I cannot say enough about this rental. The views were gorgeous especially the sunsets. The condo was well equipped with everything you need. We did not want for anything. Beach was a one minute walk and we pretty much had it to ourselves everyday. Hosts were awesome and replied quickly to any questions we had. Shopping plaza nearby with anything you could need available. Also close to town with shops and restaurants and only 20 minutes from the airport. We were able to pretty much explore the entire island on day trips. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Fantastic Location

We walked to a great snorkeling beach, the shopping center and played tennis on the grounds. The area is beautiful with all the tropical landscape.... oh and what incredible sunsets. Took a drive south to two step, a coffee plantation and black sands beach.... We will return.

Superior townhouse

This townhouse is located in an immaculately landscaped and maintained complex. The home is very tastefully decorated, well maintained and exceptionally well supplied. The shore is just a few steps from the back door and a sandy beach is just a few steps more. We would highly recommend this rental.

The location of this property can't be beat. You are right on the ocean with a beautiful beach steps from the door. The condo is well decorated - like staying in a home instead of a rental. It was so peaceful and cozy we really hated to leave. Nancy was great about communicating with us. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful ocean front property

Loved this townhome with plenty room for a family of five. We easily cooked meals and enjoyed the spectacular sunset on the small black rock beach in front of the unit. Easy access to Kailua Kona and all its offerings. The unit itself has been updated and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Ocean Front Property

This property is true to pictures. The view is really even more beautiful! We were two couples and the rooms and bathrooms worked well. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning and overhead fans worked perfectly. This was all of our first trip to the Big Island. It is definitely quiet and perfect for a couples retreat or catching up with friends of thirty years like we did.

An enjoyable stay at the turtle house

My husband, son and I enjoyed our stay at the turtle house. It is located right on the beach (swimming is possible at high tide) and we saw the infamous turtles. It was a short drive to Kona and to Captain Cookā€™s monument. The condo had everything we needed. Plus lots of amenities on the property including ping pong table and pickle ball. It was great to have paddles as well as beach gear for our use. We were sad to leave this beautiful island.

Quiet Oceanfront Condo

Private and relaxing oceanfront unit in a well cared for resort. We spent many an hour just reading and relaxing on the lanai where all we could hear was the ocean waves and singing birds. The resort was decorated beautifully for the holidays which made it quite magical in the evening. Stargazing was wonderful as the location was not over lit at night. Parking was designated and convenient to the unit. Condo was well stocked with linens, kitchen was adequate to our needs.

Cozy, clean, good location

This condo was clean and well equipped (nice and plentiful bath towels!). The location is beautiful, although not a swimming beach. Everything worked, including A/C as needed. We enjoyed having meals on the lanai. The complex is very quiet, which is what we had hoped for. The swimming pool is nothing special, no view and could use a refresh. The shopping center up the hill was convenient with a grocery store and good restaurants. The only suggestion I have would be to put thicker cushions on the lounge chairs. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice condo in beautiful location

Really enjoyed having the ocean right outside the window and being able to walk to the black sand beach maybe 100 feet to the south to watch schools of yellow tang fish feed in the surf. The unit, although small, had a well equipped kitchen. Could use bathroom fans. And although the in-room safe is a definite plus, the fact that it didnā€™t lock and no one could figure out how to get it to do so while we were there was a drawback. All in all though the location makes this one a winner.

Great waterfront quiet retreat!

I canā€™t think of enough good things to say, and no negative. First and most important, the host was really nice and responded to questions quickly. Youā€™ve seen a description of the condo, so I wonā€™t rehash it. One thing of note: the bedrooms are real rooms, not paper walls like in many other rentals. The beds are very comfortable, better than my bed at home. The waves crashing on the rocks right outside was awesome. And great sunsets from the patio overlooking the ocean. One thing to know - the beach here is a mix of volcanic rock, broken coral, and pea size gravel. At least in October the waves were too rough and too many large rocks for any swimming, surfing, or snorkeling here. But there is a beach a half mile away with that. Overall this place was great, nice condo, nice grounds, very quiet, and that view! I would absolutely stay again and encourage you to stay here.

Cute and comfy

Of course the location and views were amazing. However something we really appreciated was the coziness of this unit. The furniture and decor (yes there was actually artwork on the walls) was well thought out and beautiful. It was nice to be in a unit that felt like it had been decorated intentionally and not with household leftovers and garage sale findsā€¦ like many Hawaii rentals seem to be. This was a great size for my husband and I and our adult son and fiancĆ©. We had everything we need plus more (not sure why there are so many brooms in this unit, but ok). The AC was comfortable, kitchen well stocked albeit snug, and the keyless entry is always a plus! The complex is quiet and tucked away from the Aliā€™i road noise too. Pool is pleasant but we didnā€™t make use of tennis courts since it was so warm while we were visiting. Oh, only downside was the smart TV downstairs is not-so-smart. A small $50-70 Roku would fix that though!

We enjoyed our stay & the property was clean and functional. HOWEVER-after looking back at the VRBO listingā€¦I donā€™t feel it is well represented. 1. This is a 2 story condo in a complex that includes a large number of condos. Itā€™s pretty dense. Probably over 100 units. 2. This place is good for kids. That means there are a LOT of kids. If thatā€™s your thing-awesome. If not, be advised. 3. There is no smoking on this property-cool. But your neighbors can smoke & they are 5 feet away. Be advised. 4. This is not a sandy beach. Itā€™s a hard black lava, ā€˜big islandā€™ beach and you will NOT want to walk barefoot. Snorkel at your own riskā€¦.. 5. The view from the beach bedroom is fantastic and the sunsets are AMAZING. We slept w the window open to hear the surf. 6. There is a nearby shopping center including a grocery store that is convenient. Would we return? Only if we were traveling with children.
