Welcome to "Kailua Kai" - Island living at its finest. This is a beautiful, yet casual beachfront home located on the Windward side of Oahu, 30 minutes from Honolulu and approximately 1 mile from the center of Kailua Town. Enjoy spectacular sunrises over Kailua Bay, the scenic Ko'olau Mountain Range and outlying islands right from the front lanai. The home enjoys cool breezes that come off the ocean, a large open floor plan, spacious guest rooms and an expansive ocean front, manicured lawn with swaying palm trees and the ocean beyond. Guests can enjoy swimming, body surfing, paddling and fishing right from the backyard! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a culinary feast, or Kailua Town is just a 5 minute drive with its' myriad of restaurants to choose from.

The home does not have air conditioning as we rely on the ocean breezes to keep the house comfortable throughout the year.

Perfect island experience

The beach home is absolutely lovely and embraces all that is Hawaii - relaxed, soothing, sunshine, fun, and the aloha spirit. Being in Kailua was also great as its close to all the services needed. Kailua also has a great island vibe.

Great beach house and location to town

My family loved this place. Great location on the beach with a big grass lawn (for games), and friendly neighbors with children who befriended my granddaughters. Kailua is (and has been) our favorite town on the islands, and our stay did not disappoint. The house had everything you'd expect from a 5 star rental.

Great for all ages

We enjoyed the beach front home with daily sunrises. Kids toys, beach chairs and plenty of towels was great. Only negative comment is the house needs a face lift for it is worn.

A Heavenly Paradise!

Our siblings stayed for a week in this wonderful house with ample space for 7. A generous welcome basket of Hawaain treats and snacks was waiting at our arrival! The outside shower was a high point to clean off the sand. The easy access to a quiet beach was perfect for us.

Perfect Island House

My family (5 of us, kids ages 10,13, 16) stayed for spring break in mid to late March. It was the perfect island house, location could not have been better. House is as described by other reviewers. It’s comfortable, well stocked and just what you’d want. Communication with house management was easy. We had no issues. Absolutely loved it.

Slice of Paradise

We came for an adults only family get together and stayed for a week. The house was perfect for the seven on us. Check in was great, the house was spotless. There were plenty of beach towels and chairs for everyone. The beach access is super easy. It’s so nice to be able to duck out to the beach for a quick swim and come back, instead of having to lug all your gear and stay all day. It’s located on one of the best beaches in Hawaii, and at least while we were there, it wasn’t super crowded. Loved every minute, and will definitely be back!

Property was amazing, the beach was amazing. Although had a little issue with fridge, the property manager had a repair man show up the next day. Lost a few items due to going bad and again the property manager offered to replace items at there cost, but we decided it was was not issue, especially since the property manager was so helpful in responding to situation at hand :] We had the absolutely best family vacation ever !!!

Having the large lawn space, trees and Kailua Beach in our backyard was ideal for our four young grandkids. The location of this house was exceptional! It was well maintained and sparkling clean when we arrived. We very much appreciated the plentiful beach equipment provided (chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, sand toys, etc.). The kitchen is dated but was plentifully stocked with supplies and spices. A special thank you for the welcome basket full of delicious treats! The property managers were very responsive to our questions and concerns before and after our stay.

The property was immaculately maintained, the ocean is in your backyard, and every possible convenience was available for our use. The location is absolutely incredible with a gorgeous lawn and easy access to a picturesque beach. It made for a special time for our family of 10. The welcome gift basket with local Hawaiian foods was a delicious treat! We also enjoyed having the high quality beach chairs, toys, and games to use.Our only complaint was that the front bedroom by the entrance of the home had a bit of a large cockroach problem every night. It seemed to do with its location by the front yard? Otherwise, all guests were comfortable and happy.

This home was perfect for all of us. The house is appointed well with from the kitchen to the beach equipment. Everything we needed from boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, yard toys. The large lawn lawn leads to beautiful Kailua beach and Kailua town is just minutes from the house. It’s very private and everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Steven with Private Homes Hawaii was fantastic! Highly recommend. We will for sure be back!! Mahalo for our best family vacation!

Wonderful Family Vacation

There were ten of us, and we all enjoyed every minute of the ten days we spent here. The location of the house with direct access to a great beach was perfect, and the whole family enjoyed playing in the water. The home was clean and stocked with everything we needed, especially beach towels and play toys, and of course, it really helped to have access to a washer/dryer. We were all able to sit down to meals together and overall we just felt very comfortable at this property. While the property itself is not new, for our purposes, it was perfect. The property management team of Steven and Patty were excellent. Every time we asked for assistance, or needed a question answered, their responses and presence (if needed), was immediate. Our family would definitely stay at this property again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful location. About a 5-7 min drive (1 mile) to most shops, food, and grocery in Kailua. You really cannot beat beachfront access! Made it so easy to go to the beach when ever we wanted. Lots of beach toys to enjoy. Kitchen was stocked with most things we needed. We only stayed in the two king rooms, which were clean and spacious. There are some critters that would show up at night/early morning (not alive, most of the time), just something to note. We didn’t see any in the bedrooms or bathrooms we were in so it wasn’t a big deal. There is no AC, so fans running most of the time to keep the airflow moving. We came in Oct, and temps were in the 80/70s so it’s wasn’t hot inside.Overall, great home. Beautiful views. Easy access. Spacious. Clean. And the to-do list for check out was short (which is appreciated!). We’d come back again!
