Lovely weekend away
Relaxing weekend spent in a beautiful place. Being able to bring our dog and the place being fully fenced was a bonus. Comfortable bed and the home has everything you need. Would stay again.

Lovely little cottage ideal for a family
We had a lovely time at the cottage. We love the site, the tidiness and the overall atmosphere. A few suggestions : remove a few dining chairs to free up some space. Add a small wardrobe could be quite useful too! Fantastic time nevertheless ! Thanks a lot for the memories .

Beachside paradise
What an awesome wee place, so lovely and well set up. Very easy walk to the beach and the estuary right there on the doorstep. Would happily have stayed forever!

Beautiful property in perfect location
The property is idyllic and clean which made our stay very relaxing. The outdoor area is well planned and can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. We stayed with a dog and a toddler but the property was fully fenced so safe for both. Our 10 year old slept on the mattress in the bay window which unfortunately had no curtains so he had few early starts. Everything else was absolutely lovely., location included. Thank you for having us, we certainly would like to come back!

Hi there and thank you for the feedback. Although there are curtains, they are on the inner edge of the window seat so as to keep the place as light and airy as possible during the day. This it seems does have it's disadvantages in the early morning. Thanks for letting us know. Cheers Annee.

All the comforts of home
Great little cottage which is well set up. Lovely location and lawn for tents with plenty of space for kids to play. Annee and co were lovely and communication was excellent. Will likely revisit Twin Pahootz.

French style inspired Kiwi Bach
Cosy! French country styled decor with a kiwi bach feel. Comfortable bed & window boxed single bed, with curtains to secure a special place for a child. Endless walks back & forth to the beach. Enjoyed our stay!

A little gem on a big site
Clean, tidy, sooooo many utensils in the kitchen, you would never run out when having guests over. Very well designed for extended family/friends who can camp as the scullery and bathroom are easily access and don’t disturb those in the cottage. Easy access to the beach, estuary and walks. Would totally recommend.

A small bach that somehow has everything
This small, but perfectly formed, bach has everything you need for a beach holiday. You can walk to the beach, which is a also great fishing spot. More importantly the bach has a very well stocked kitchen, an enormous BBQ and a well appointed ablutions block with two toilets, a shower, an additional fridge and sink.

Beautiful location
We had a good experience at this property. Booking and check in process was really smooth. Kitchen is really well appointed and there is an amazing bathroom which can be accessed from outside which is wonderful especially if people are camping on the lawn. I only take note of the following for the Bach which might impact renters’ comfort: - the floor is concrete so it gets a bit hard and drying on the feet each day - there are no curtains. Wonderful for the view, but not so much for privacy or wanting to create some shade during the day or evening - there are only armchairs in the living room. We found a couch would be nice to stretch out on and admire the view - the ceiling is exposed so it can become chilly at night, even in the summer. Other than that, the location is wonderful, view onto the estuary and close to the beach.

Thanks for your review Anna. We were half way through renovations when the summer booking season hit. All the things you mentioned are planned to be fixed before Easter this year beginning with a new ceiling, and insulated roof, curtains ( I have the fabric at the ready). The lounge will stay just with chairs we think and there will be two stretch out (single bed size) window seats installed so you can stretch out and enjoy the view at your leisure. All good feedback and on the plan. The floor will be painted too although it will still be concrete. Thanks for your feedback and for staying with us.

Peaceful place to stay and has amazing neighbours
This property has ALL the essentials of home. Had no mosquitos which was a bonus. Short walk to a great beach, with good spots for fishing and diving. Will definitely be back

great spot for kids and dog
Twin Pahootz: Enjoyed our stay. It's like having your own private camp ground. Neighbours are lovely and accommodating. Facilities are simple but effective, you don't have to worry about kids hand prints on windows etc. Section is fenced and kept our medium sized dog in no worries. Tauranga Bay: Beautiful spot! Great for swimming, Doesn't get much swell and beach is very steep so not very good for surfing. Need tractor for boat launching on beach. Can launch in estuary but can only get over the bar an hour either side of high ( 4M boat ). Whangaroa ramp 12 min drive and gets busy at peak times.

Great location
Family Christmas 2018. Great facilities on a spacious property the kids had plenty of room to run around and the beach reserve is right there to also play on. The beach had strong currents and would drop off but the estuary was perfect for our little ones. We would definitely recommend to friends and family we look forward to staying again. Many thanks.
