Deerhurst Resort

Deerhurst Resort

8/10 Good
"For this category hotel the cleaning and service could be much better. For 3+ days stay staff have to proactively check on the linens, towels, in-room coffee, tea, etc."

Haliburton Post House

Haliburton Post House

10/10 Excellent
"This is a very boutique type of property but with a very casual woodsy vibe. I say boutique as there are only a few cabins and I believe 3 main lodge rooms. Staff is not everywhere but when we checked in we got the most amazing greeting. The young lady in the diningroom in the morning is very sweet and helpful. It should be noted that unless you book time in the restaurant there are no other facilities for food on site. This obviously is not an issue if you are in a cabin but the main lodge may pose one. We were in the lodge but were back and forth to another location. When the restaurant is open it is quite a busy place. I cannot rate the ammenities other than the gym which was very well appointed and of a great size. There are many boats to use as well as a fire pit and some outdoor type games. While we were there it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms are well appointed with good television options if you want to sit in and watch some TV. A mini fridge and a coffee maker are also available. The location is wonderful and very easy to find."

Muskoka Waterfront Retreat

Muskoka Waterfront Retreat

8/10 Good
"The location was excellent and the staff were friendly and quick to respond to any communication. The property itself was good overall. However, we experienced a water outage for one night during our stay, which was disappointing and the rooms were not super clean. Since I booked last-minute, I paid a premium rate, and given the issues, I don’t think the property quite justified that price."

"Spent one night here. The accommodations were perfect, we wanted a quiet, clean place to spend the night and this was it. The owner was wonderful, the room was ready for us and our personal key codes were already entered in the locks. The shared bathroom and kitchen were modern and clean. We would definitely stay here again."

Lakeside Haven (Your Cottage Retreat)

Lakeside Haven (Your Cottage Retreat)

10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was excellent, modern and fully supplied with all of the necessities. As a water family, my only concern was that the water was more difficult to access. The bottom of the lake in the cottage area was covered with sticks and was muddy near the shore. But the cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and has everything."
