Good place, quiet, nice good breakfast though at xtra cost,staff friendly but not in uniform! Excellent receptionist. The white lady i assume could be the owner was nice and friendly. I liked the Madala serving breakfast in the kitchen eating area, they should cloth him in Uniform so that we don't mistaken him as the Gardener in Kitchen. Staff lacking uniform only!! Otherwise the rest is Superb!!! Excellent service!! Hope they have shuttle bus in future!! Welldone Onvrey!!! Loved my stay and certainly will be back!!!

We had a nice, quite stay. There was no shampoo , conditioner or body lotions, the type that comes in tiny bottles. Then the floor of the room wasn’t so clean wen we first arrived, but the cleaning lady cleaned it the next day.

Great place, friendly service, close to airport.
We stayed for one night only. We had an early flight to catch from OR Tambo, and thought that 24 On Vrey was ideally located for this purpose. We were right! It was only a 15 minute drive to the airport, and we caught our flight with time to spare. We had a lovely stay. The property is safe and easily accessible. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a range of amenities on par with some of the best guest houses we have stayed in. The service was incredibly friendly, and the owners went out of their way to assist us with storing our left baggage, and providing advice as to the best places to eat. Highly recommended!

A lovely, unique property with spacious, clean room, comfortable beds, and exceptionally lovely decor. A family - run business, with professional, yet frienfly, staff, Marcus and his aunt were most accommodating. Marcus was particularly helpful, driving us to and from the airport, and answering our many questions. Breakfast ,with made to order eggs, as well as cereal and yogurt was included. I highly recommend this boutique hotel..

Relaxed stay
24 Onvrey Boutique Hotel is a very quiet and convenient place not too far from the airport. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. I spent a very relax day before I had a night flight back to Europe. There is no permanent hotel shuttle nor kitchen. I used taxies and ordered food from a delivery service. A nice breakfast was included in my room rate.

We stayed at hotel on three separate occasions. Had three different rooms. First room did not smell good. When mentioned to staff we were told that it's probably because people smoked in it. But that was not the smell. It was of dusty curtains or dusty. Second room was a family room which was too many beds for us. Third room was the best!!! Wish we'd had that from start. Breakfast was great - full selection. The location was highly convenient for us. The general feel of the hotel was good. I guess the one thing that would be considered an improvement would be to give the curtains an uplift! No complaints for anything. Clean sheets, clean towels and beneficial to our needs.

High Standards & Comfortable Stay.

Rest & Relax
Our family stayed for a night because of an appointment in the Jo-burg area. The accommodation was clean, restful, and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, and we had plenty of room to relax. The location is in a quiet area with no interruptions and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Overall it was an excellent value for the money.

The staff made us feel at home
At first glance it didn't look like what I had booked, but after a few minutes we felt at home and the staff made sure we had a successful stay. Breakfast was awesome.

Great hotel if overnighting between flights.
Communication is excellent. Home cooked food. Timely transfers. Staff very friendly specially Macloud who always had a smile. Rooms are great, tiled floors can get cold. We would stay again

OK but nothing to rave about....
Stayed 2 nights. Arrived early (as indicated in my booking) but got a lacklustre reception (and check-out as well!). Spacious and clean room...although cold. Very comfy bed. I do recommend the garden view rooms. Hotel is close to the airport so good if you are in transit....although no lunch nor diner services were available on site during my stay.

As for the early check in, we send an email to you prior to your arrival on the 08th July 2016 indicating that we do not guarantee an early check in unless if the room is booked the previous night as a hold over. A bit difficult to find as taxis do not have GPS or proper road map.

Thank you for the good review. We are also not impressed with the tax service or companies at the airport, they do not have GPS or Maps in their cars which is a requirement for them. In future please make use of the hotel transfers. We provide shuttle service to and from the airport. We hope to see you again soon

Week in Joburg with kids.
The hotel is great. Only to be beaten by friendliness of hosts. It is family operated and there is a lot of pride in what they do. The location is great for the airport and adjoining business districts but a bit of a drive to town - which didn't bother us too much. We felt all our possessions were 100% safe at this place and all staff were lovely. Our youngest appreciated being encouraged to feed the fish in the pond on the property. One of the many enjoyable little quirks of this place. We stayed a week at this property and would choose it again with no hesitation if and when traveling to Joburg. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Stop Over
We stayed at the Onvrey as a stop over between Durban and Botswana. Although we arrived later in the evening our host was ready and easily directed us to our room. We found our rooms to be very clean, modern, and spacious. We felt very secure and were able to rest and relax to prepare for the next day's travels. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise as it was very good and made-to-order. The staff were very friendly and catered to our needs. We will definitely look at returning as needs arise.

wonderful little pension
Great overnight stopover prior to hearing to Pilanesburg for safari. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff was incredibly kind and friendly.

Great hotel with personalized service.
They picked us up at the airport and put us in our rooms. Fresh cooked breakfast. Wish we would have stayed there when we first arrived in Johannesburg. Very quiet.

Close to the airport, very convenient!
I've stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and it's very convenient if you want to visit Johannesburg for the day and flight out the other day. The rooms are very clean, wireless works perfect and the staff was very helpful!

Hotel location was handy for us as we were visiting relatives nearby; room was spacious and very clean; hot water was intermittent.

Welcoming staff, good facilities @ bargain price
Stayed at 24 On Vrey for 3 days - owner and staff are very gracious and attentive. Room nicely decorated and cozy. Perfect for transit for up to 3 days, as in an area which is not urban - excellent place to unwind and relax. Paid less than $200 for 3 days - definitely recommend it...
