"We had intended to do the whanganui river but the river was to high and this was our back up plan. We rafted the tongariro river Saturday afternoon which was excellent! This place was perfect for our group of 10. We all sat at the table for meals, played pool and listened to music. I especially enjoyed the master bedroom and ensuite! "We were 3 generations meeting for a long weekend. Our first group arrived well after dark on a cold night. The lights had been put on, as had heaters in all the rooms, it was so lovely not having to fumble around for lights in the cold. The house was perfect for our group. Lovely wood burner and plenty of wood. Beautiful view of the mountain when the clouds cleared."
