Nice cabin, very comfortable, plenty of towels, great communications, etc. they even provided a pet basket for use at the house (blanket, bags, towel for cleaning paws, etc). Our only dislike was the smell of the water (well water). Overall our stay was great. Thank you.
The cabin was superb, cozy and homey. The cabin was as neat as a pin. Lots of room to hang out. Beautifully furnished. All appliances worked flawlessly. Dishes and utensils were complete. An abundance of towels. Clean and serviceable bathrooms. Even when I think very hard, there is not a single thing I could fault. I will be back to Jeffersonville and this is the place to which I will return.
The cabin was exactly like it was advertised. Its location was perfect for our trip to Smugglers Notch and close to a grocery store. Beautiful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
We happily lodged in a comfortable cabin with all the charm one expects in a log home. We especially appreciated the high quality linens and towels as well as the amazingly outfitted kitchen. The location was close enough to town, but rural enough to feel like a getaway. Even when the weather was too soggy to venture outdoors, we were happy to be in your charming cabin. Thanks!
Super clean and cozy cabin. Very close to Smuggler's Notch ski area. The gas fireplace is a nice touch because it was very cold during our trip. Highly recommend. Maude is very responsive.
Great spot - close to Smugglers Notch and Stowe. Took advantage of great bike trails in the immediate area and in Burlington. Even though a bit north of Stowe, great restaurants and drinking places close by. Cabin was plenty big for 4 adults and two small dogs. Mountains were beautiful and such a deep green color! We did have a big adult bear greet us as we unpacked our car. Nearby homeowners have seen him many times before and made us feel safe, but did double checked the area when we went out. Didn't see the bear again over the next 4 days.
Perfect stay for 4 adults and 2 kids - and our small dog! Thank you to our host - the home was comfortable and clean - and had a lovely gas fireplace and smart TV. And the host provided great directions plus a welcome gift of Vermont maple syrup and pancake mix.
We stayed for a wedding at the barn just up the road. The location was perfect and super convenient to get to the wedding and a beautiful drive to Stowe. The house was exactly what we needed. It was me, my toddler son, and my parents and the house worked perfectly for us. Very clean and had everything we needed (including toddler friendly beds and plastic ware for eating). It was a great vacation!
We had a great stay! Just 3 of us played board games, sat by the fire, watched TV, explored the area. We went to Lot 6, the brewery just a mile away, which was fantastic.
The house was perfect for us. The kitchen is very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Shower had excellent water pressure. The house may be a bit tight for 6 people, but could make it work. We would definitely rent again.
We were two small families (2 couples with 1 child each) and the cabin was a great size for us. The living room had space for everyone to sit together, which was really nice, and we loved the open kitchen/living room design. The knives were also much nicer and sharper than usual in a VRBO, and overall the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in.
It’s quaint and charming cabin. Our first time to Vermont, seeing the colors and Stowe. Great location. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. Easy to find and check in. Maude was quick to communicate and gave recommendations that were helpful. A welcoming gift of pancake mix and Vermont maple syrup was waiting on the counter for us. I would definitely stay again and would recommend Maude’s place.
Nice cabin with updated appliances and a great porch. Each bedroom had it's own AC unit. Appreciated the dishwasher and full-size washer/dryer. Located on a busier road. Drive to things and activities around Stowe took a little longer than anticipated. Very close to Smuggler's Notch ski area. Overall was a great stay.
This home was very clean, comfortable and close to hiking trails. Maude was very responsive to a minor plumbing problem which was fixed quickly. The only thing I wish I realized was how close to the road the house is.
My family and I loved the location and found lots of great hiking trails within less than 30 minutes of the cabin. Getting to Stowe was an easy, beautiful ride through the Notch. Maude was a great host--very quick to answer any questions we had, both before booking and after check-in. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for a family of 4. The only suggestion I would make is that if you are a light sleeper and will be staying in the upstairs bedroom, bring earplugs and a mask as there is a boiler in the room that runs intermittently throughout the night, the A/C is quite loud, and there are skylights so the room gets very bright.
The house is a nice cabin, well equipped and comfortable. Great to have a washer dryer! Comfy front porch! Closer to Mountain Rd than we realized - road noise is loud during the day but fine at night. The surrounding area is full of great hikes and swimming holes. We unfortunately didn’t have internet service for the entire week. The owner was trying her best to get it fixed but it never happened - not her fault, but definitely put a damper on our trip. We had to go into town for WiFi for a couple of Zoom meetings.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
Nothing around
I’m not happy with the location. Owner owner didn’t mention that the road that brings you to stove would be closed during winter times and when you run 15 minutes and it took us 55 minutes to go all the way around to stow a lot of our things had to be canceled because of the length of this trip
We were really happy overall with our stay! Location worked well for us for hiking, sightseeing and not a bad distance from Burlington or Stowe. We got used to those chicanes and hairpin turns, and honestly, the area was just stunning. Proximity is within several hundred feet of two other homes (one of which is a shared lane), but we were in and out and no concerns for privacy. The house was supplied with all the essentials, and when I checked to see if i was overlooking coffee filters somewhere, our host was there with them in literally 12 minutes!!! That was above and beyond, and I could have easily grabbed them from the store, but it was appreciated! Everything was clean, which is big for me. We even enjoyed pacake mix and a small maple syrup that they provided. They even provided some dog waste bags for our 4 legged family member. Very happy with our stay! She wasupfrint with some potential internet concerns following some storms, but issue was resolved prior to arrival. Very responsive to any communication!
The little cabin was adorable! It was clean, stocked and very comfortable. Located in a fantastic area and even though it was right off the highway, we felt the setting was secluded enough to still really enjoy the woods and hear the stream.
We did have a hot water heater issue in that there was no hot water one morning when we woke up. However, this is a compliment to the owners because when I contacted them, they were over with a handyman to fix it within an hour along with more dishwasher detergent as I mentioned there was none. It was fixed almost immediately.
The third bedroom, the one with two twin beds, is very tiny and really only conducive to two kids. Really too small, and no place to put bags, with two adults.
We all loved it and agreed that a nice touch would be some firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit. We went and bought some and scrounged around for some starter wood. Not necessary, of course, but we would have loved it.
