About this property
Peaceful and private cabin overlooking the Little Buffalo River.
Very quiet and private 1 bedroom cabin with seasonal views of the Little Buffalo River. Fully equipped kitchen. Access to beach and seasonal swimming hole. A perfect romantic getaway for couples. There is an additional sleeping area separate from the house if you wanted to bring an extra guest or two. Lotus Point is only 6 miles from Jasper. Close to many access points on the upper section of the Buffalo National River for fishing, floating, hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing. The space The main cabin has 1 bedroom with queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and bath and sits on 9 acres of mostly wooded land. There is internet service and Roku TV as well as a variety of board games and books available in the cozy living room for guests to enjoy. The deck overlooking the Little Buffalo River is great for just sitting and relaxing or barbecuing on the gas grill provided. There is a small bungalow that can sleep two additional guests should you decide to bring friends. It is detached from the house, and is perched on a bluff overlooking the river. It has a queen size bed, A/C and heater, bottled water and coffee maker are provided, however, there is NO bathroom or cooking facilities. It is just for sleeping. There is an additional fee for use of this space so please be sure to indicate if you wish to use the bungalow. There is a steep and narrow trail that leads down to the beach and swimming hole for those who are adventurous. Guest access Guests will have full use of the cabin and grounds and are welcome to help themselves to herbs and any vegetables that are in season to add to meals during their stay. The trail down to the river below the house is quite steep and narrow, please use good judgement and caution when hiking down to the beach (and back up!) Feel free to explore the surrounding property, however, remember you are in the great outdoors, so you may encounter creepy crawlies, like mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, snakes, wasps, etc. Bringing some bug spray may be a good idea if you plan on hiking. You may be fortunate and see an abundance of wildlife, such as deer, elk, turkey, a variety of birds, including eagles, owls, and herons. The river is available for fishing, however you must still have an Arkansas fishing license. There is a small beach below the cabin with a seasonal swimming hole for guests to enjoy. NO HUNTING IS PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY. Other things to note Newton County Arkansas is a dry county. This means there are no places to purchase alcohol. We suggest you bring beer, wine, spirits with you. The closest liquor store is about 15 miles north of Jasper. There is a well stocked grocery store in Jasper, a Dollar general and a couple take out places and couple of good restaurants.

The cabin is in the most beautiful setting and is so cozy on the inside - it feels like a magical home away from home. The mossy path to the River Trail is captivating. The River Trail to the Little Buffalo River is worth the trek. Jasper and the surrounding area are delightful. We will stay here again and again.
This place was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was available for easy resting. We sat and enjoyed the birds when we weren't on the trails. Beautiful views of the river as well. The host have excellent directions from multiple routes, which helped since the river was up and over one of them.
This cozy little house in the woods was the perfect spot for me and my husband to unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing on the deck. The yard and house are beautifully cared for, and the views of Mt. Sherman and the little Buffalo River was a special treat too.
a nispecial ce treat too.
This was our second time staying here. We absolutely love the location and the peace and quiet. Love the deck outside and being able to sit and just take the scenery or look up at the stars at night. It’s close to the town of Jasper, so it’s an easy trip for necessities or to visit a local restaurant. Everything about the cabin makes you feel right at home and the unique decor is just right. We will definitely be back again.
We had a great time at the cabin, it was quiet and cozy! We didn't realize how remote it was at first, so we had to get used to not having service. Beautiful scenery close to the buffalo!
The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was comfortable, clean, and cozy inside. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. It was located down a long gravel road and though there were a few distant neighbors, it felt very private, secluded, and quiet. We enjoyed looking at all the artwork and other unique finds throughout the cabin. The large covered deck was a highlight in the early mornings, where we would drink coffee and listen to the roosters as the sun came up over the mountains. The sweet neighbor doggies coming by to say hello was a nice bonus. The cabin was within an hour drive of several area hikes, and downtown Jasper was just a short drive away. Having WiFi was great because there is very little cell service in that area. The owner/host was highly responsive and communicative. We would definitely stay here again! It was perfect for our hiking adventures.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. Close to town, but very private and in a beautiful wooded area. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed time on the porch and grilling. We'll definitely be back!
We have stayed at Lotus point before and this place always exceeds any expectations we may have. It is such a wonderful place to stay and all the little artistic touches are so neat. The porch outside is a great place to relax in the morning with coffee or in the evening as the sunsets and the stars come out. The addition of a roof over the side porch is a nice touch. We will definitely be back.
We had a fantastic stay! Hailee and Josh (and their sons!) are gracious hosts who made us feel very welcome. The farmhouse is huge and the layout was perfect for the 10 of us. The kids enjoyed all sleeping in one room for a cousin sleepover. We’re all looking forward to another family get together here in the future!
Lotus Point cabin was a cute and peaceful cabin in the woods, yet close to the small town of Jasper and not far from Branson. Claire was very accommodating and thoughtful and had freshly cut flowers on the table, along with the house being cooled down and ready to go. There are just a couple things that would have made her place even more fantastic than it was. One, a binder would have been nice with an actual list of local restaurants, local festivities going on and which trails are the best to hike and other stuff to do in the area. Claire did have pamphlets and maps, but having the work done in a convenient binder would have helped us figure stuff out easier. Next, maybe give renters a heads up on better times to be able to see or do things on the River. With the water so low, we couldn’t kayak, or raft, so we were bummed and didn’t know that the best time to do that is May. Lastly, the only minor complaint I would have is the bed. My husband and I thought it was very uncomfortable and we took turns sleeping on the couch since the bed was too hard for our liking. Overall, these things are minor and wouldn’t deter me from staying here! Claire and her place are great! I’ve never had a rental owner take the extra steps to make us feel at home, so that was wonderful!
