"Room was small but functional. Bed was hard and pillow uncomfortable, but manageable for one night. Property is a bit dated. We arrived a bit early and the lady at check in access very irritated. Came back later and the guy was friendly and helpful."

Our stay at Yoruya was perfect. It was a real treat to stay in a Japanese Inn style hotel with a beautiful and comfortable interior. The staff were extremely helpful and also made us feel very welcome. The hotel is extremely well located for walking to the Bikan Historical Quarter.
If you are coming to Kurushiki, this is the perfect place to stay.

The location is only few minutes walk from the Kurashiki station.
There are many free services like a local wine tasting and drink free lounge.
Big bath weren’t crowded at all and could relaxed well after the exploring the historical district.

An incredible stay from start to finish. I require a gluten-free diet, and the chef did an amazing job accommodating my needs. Everything was exceptional, from the thoughtful staff and beautiful interiors to the canal-front location and the lantern provided for evening walks. It was truly a five-star experience and an unforgettable, authentic Japanese stay.

Great hotel a few meters from Bikan Historical Quarter. Good standard size room, staff polite and professional, the onsen is a plus. The breakfast spread could be improved by providing more choices for western guests. All that rice and fish were too much for the western taste. A cereal or yoghurt wouldn’t hurt.

The most gorgeous little town. So glad we chose to stay here. The hotel was perfectly positioned for exploring the town. On the main street but literally around the corner from the old town. The hotel was lovely. Our room had 3 beds, so the girls had to share which proved a bit tricky. Rooms were tight (due to the trundle bed) but clean. Bathrooms were all in one which makes it a bit frustrating with four of us. Fortunately it was only one night so not too bad. Staff were lovely and very...

Very good room. Modern and functional, small but didn't feel cramped. The hotel even had a sento (traditional public bath), which was nice. The hotel is located close to many of Kurashiki's attractions, but is ~15 minute walk from Kurashiki station which was slightly inconvenient with luggage, but not a major issue.
Had a bizzare interaction with one particular staff member during check-in who was extremely rude and condescending for seemingly no reason. Did not encounter him again during my...
