It locates in convenience place providing good access not just to cafe, restaurants, convenience stores but also to train stations. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. My room was quite clean and looks new. Has good security too. No noise heard in the room. I will certainly come back to stay.

Cozy and clean

Great room, very clean, cozy and spacious. The staff was friendly, very attentive without being intrusive. The food was a bit of a let down though, both for breakfast and the one I picked from the ala carte menu. There is plenty room for improvement there.

This Hotel is a modern design hotel based on European designs, which is fine. The staff was excellent. The food at the hotel is only mediocre and needs to be improved as to the quality and taste of the food. I went out more than I normally would for food.

Good experience

It was a satisfactory hotel. It was great for the price. It was clean, friendly, had good transportation, and there were a lot of restaurants around, so it was very convenient. In particular, I remember the smiles of the staff. The swimming pool and the buffet on the second floor were also very good.

Overall it was good. They do not provide bottled water in the room but they do provide the filtered water in glass bottles. The problem is that the guests cannot assure the cleanliness of that filtered water. I understand that the hotel is aiming the eco-friendly but good clean drinking water should be provided.

Good location, clean room, friendly staff. This is one of the environment friendly hotels in Jakarta. They give you free water in the room that are in recycled glass bottle, staying away from using plastic bottles. However, while everything was great during my last few stays there, there are three things that bothered me a little. 1. The water in the glass bottle I just could not trust the water nor the bottle. I would have no idea whether the water was filtered correctly and clean enough to drink. And, I would also not know how clean the bottle is. I saw some bottles that were not cleaned. 2. The bathroom has sewer odor that unstoppable. When the bathroom door is closed, you wouldn't smell it much. But as soon as you get in the bathroom, the smell is always there. 3. The street is so narrow that the traffic in the morning or in the evening is heavy. It takes a while to wait for your taxi. I often waited 15 or more minutes after I ordered a taxi to come and pick me up. Other than the above three, I like the hotel. Their breakfast is good. Their rooms are clean. The staffs are friendly. The location is good. The price is reasonable.

This is my 2nd stay for this Novotel Cikini. The 1st time was not so good as I was given a room with a strong sewage smell. Decided to give a 2nd chance coz the 1st stay was pretty good as the room was upgraded to a bigger room and buffet breakfast was good. I was given a last corner room facing an emergency exit door when I checked in the evening during the 2nd visit. The card key was not functioning properly and the power was cut off and on. It was so scary that I was alone in the room in darkness for several times. Technician came and used a plastic card and left. Again, power came off and on several times. I took my luggage and went to reception for a room change. Got another room. It was better with no issue on the power but the wall mural drawings of a man gives an eerie vibe. Perhaps it was the scary incident earlier when I was in total darkness & stale air in the corner room that made me feel that way. The toilet was another issue. It has a strong sewage smell when you turned on the shower. After that, the smell will go off, not sure whether i got used to the smell. hahaha.... The water will flood the floor in the shower room and then it will slowly subside. Imagine you stepping in the puddle of soap & shampoo water while bathing. Didn't change the room for the next 3 days. Still bearable for the toilet. Anyway, this will be my last visit for this hotel.
