"As a solo traveler, it did the job for me. I would stay again if traveling alone, not with family. It was a cheap stay so the dirty exterior and interior was expected. I saw hair scattered on the vanity and towels, old food crumbs on the chairs, black stains on the floor, cobwebs on the roof, and dust. Unexpectedly, the bed was clean and having a large desk to study at was the highlight of the stay. Nice staff at the front desk too."

"We stayed at the Holiday Inn and Express in Jacksonville Texas on August 25 2026. Upon arrival the hotel looked nice and clean on the outside. Upon checking in the desk clerk was friendly greeted with a smile and check-in was within minutes. She told me where our room was and said we could park to the side of the building enter in at the side door and our room would be really close. The room was very clean smelled good not like some we have stayed in at other places the tv worked that was a plus. The shower was amazing with water pressure and hot water. I loved that there was shampoo body wash hand soap in the shower and by the sink. The only think that I noticed was the bathroom door didn’t fully close. It was only my husband and I so it was ok. We weren’t able to really check out breakfast I was on a liquid fast and couldn’t sample but next time we will. Overall it was a great stay and will definitely look forward to visiting next time."
