This was a fantastic place, just far enough out of the hustle and bustle! Can't find enough wonderful words to describe the hospitality and kindness of Richard. We had everything we needed provided and even a welcome surprise of TREATS! Who else does that for those renting this place! When we visit again we will surely reserve this place. THANK YOU RICHARD, IT WAS FANTASTIC and so were you!
We have stayed at some very nice VRBO locations, but we honestly believe this was the best overall experience. Richard, our host, was very welcoming and even had a few goodies for us when we arrived. The check in was perfect, the place had everything we needed, including a kitchen and washer and dryer. Plus, the proximity to Jackson and the Tetons was great. In addition, Richard was willing to give us some pointers of things our family might want to do that we would not have known about otherwise. We would love to stay again in the future.
We booked this cute place to spend a week in for our honeymoon! It was close enough to town that it took a short amount of time to get there and far enough away that it really felt peaceful. It was exactly what we needed it to be! Richard was also very helpful and made sure we knew he was available if we needed anything! We felt very safe and had a great experience here!
Richard was fantastic and the apartment was perfect for my son and I. Location is outside of the hustle of downtown Jackson but close to everything you could want in the area. We will stay here again.
Richard, our host, is very friendly and welcoming. Property was clean and comfortable. Location is very close to the city of Jackson and for exploring Grand Teton National Park. Would stay again.
Richard was kind and accommodating and location to the park was perfect

the host met us when we arrived. I thought that was very nice.kitchen was cleanthe "apartment" had an awful smell when we got there. the next morning my husband found a dead mouse in the laundry room. other than that the "apartment" was nice. the only thing that I didn't realize is that the "apartment" is actually attached to the main house. Because of that we woke earlier than we wanted to when we did want to sleep in.the stay was very nice and it was close to grocery stores, coffee spots and the main square of jackson.Shelley and David
Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Richard shared his knowlege of the area, which was very helpful. Everything in the cabin worked and was clean. Quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!
Wonderful unique property outfitted with everything you need to feel right at home while still imparting the peaceful feeling that you are getting away to the renewal brought of a country vibe. Easy access to access Jackson and Hobavk.
A beautiful, rustic house, just far enough from the insanity of Jackson to be a retreat, but close enough for an easy drive to the city or Grand Teton National Park. Very scenic area for walks or just looking out. We had the entire bottom floor, which was clean, charming and included everything we needed, including a full kitchen, beautiful sitting room and washer/dryer. Thanks to the recent installation of fiber optic cable, more than adequate Internet and Apple TV, as well as cell service. Dog-friendly. Rate very reasonable, especially compared to the options available in Jackson. Owner Richard and his lovely fiancee were delightful, charming and wonderful hosts. Got some amazing photos!. Plan to stay there again on our next visit.
This property was a perfect find located away from the crowds in Jackson. It was extremely easy to get the national park. Richard had left some supplies for us which was welcomed after a long travel day.
My family (husband, adult son, myself) truly enjoyed our stay here! The unit had everything we needed for a vacation trip in the Jackson area - we spend a week mostly just visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We enjoyed the proximity to Jackson as well and the quiet at night to truly rest. All the bedding was comfortable and made for a great sleep each night. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfasts in the morning and prepare lunches to take with us each day. Richard was a very hospitable, knowledgeable host and provided us with hiking suggestions to avoid the weekend crowds which was appreciated. We will definitely look at renting from Richard again should we find ourselves coming back to the area.
Richard was an amazing host! He left us some goodies in the fridge and gave us great recommendations on places to go! The basement apartment was clean and had everything we needed, perfect for us! The property is out of town and peacefully quiet but a quick 10 min drive to town! I would highly recommend this for a great romantic getaway!
Richard's place is a quiet, rustic spot about 10 minutes from Jackson- but away from the crowds! Richard allowed us to move in early and left a care package of thoughtful items which were very much appreciated! He had good suggestions of places to go and places to eat. Overall, we were happy with our stay!
The property was perfect. Tucked just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Jackson, Richard's guest unit is the ideal quiet and relaxing space to unwind. Great deck and it was perfect location to take my dogs on long walks before and after work. Richard was kind, proactive in communication, super sweet to my dogs and even stocked the fridge with some goodies prior to my arrival. There is something wonderful about someone who not only provides coffee but also real creamer in the fridge and sugar. And the bottle of wine in the fridge was such a kind welcome. And good products in the shower. The unit was stocked with really thoughtful touches that made me feel like I was staying with friends rather than a vrbo. I look forward to staying here again!
Our recent stay in Jackson, nestled at the base of the awe-inspiring Teton Mountain Range, offered a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and serenity. The VRBO property we chose was about 8 miles south of Jackson. We’ve stayed in places in town before and were concerned about being out of the downtown area, but we ended up loving it, out in the country, pleasant and peaceful. This home base to explore this charming destination contributed to the magic of our trip. Hosts Richard and Tracey were wonderful — Richard’s a longtime Wyoming guy, knowledgeable about the surroundings, and was helpful and a pleasure to have a conversation with. The downstairs cabin area was impeccably clean and equipped with all the right amenities we could have wished for. Situated about 10 minutes from downtown Jackson, it provided easy access to shops, cuisine, and lively entertainment. Yet, it was secluded enough to offer peace, allowing us to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding us. No trip to Jackson would be complete without venturing into the breathtaking landscapes that surround the town. This visit, we not only spent ample time exploring Grand Teton National Park, just a short drive from our rental, but we also explored the beauty south of Jackson as well.
Richard was an excellent and generous host. The apartment living area was open, light, comfortable, and quiet. The fully equipped kitchen facilitated cooking meals. We spent two weeks here and were very pleased with this space as our temporary home. (On-site washer and dryer were very convenient.)
While we were visiting Jackson to assist our family with a major project, we did not have time to take advantage of the myriad things to do in and around Teton Valley and Grand Teton National Park; but Richard has a wonderful collection of materials on site to make guests aware of area opportunities.
I did some baking projects with my grandchildren, and some after-school reading and craft projects. Both my husband and I loved the peace and natural pace of this relatively secluded space, far from the madding crowds. We would happily return when we again need a place to stay during future family visits.

A Cautionary Warning If You Choose To Stay Here
While our host was very gracious during our stay and we liked the location, be sure to take pictures/videos of the unit both when you arrive and when you leave so that you don’t get victimized like we were.
It was alleged that we had damaged the property by somehow making small burn marks to the carpet in front of the couch. The description and photos sent could not have been caused by us and had not been observed while we were there, but the unit was dark and the carpet older and a dark wine color. Fortunately, we had taken out insurance but were distressed that a false claim could not be disputed. We do not smoke and nothing was set on the carpet in front of the couch other than our feet. Additionally, the owner said he believed us and would contact the insurance company after he made the report. Apparently he did not, as they paid the claim.
Pros: Location is quiet and about 15 minutes from Jackson.
Host left nice food in the refrigerator and freezer for our use.
Host was very gracious while we were there.
The unit had a washer dryer and a dishwasher.
Cons: No cell service at all with our carrier and no working internet on our computer even though it would connect with the password.
Both the stovetop and oven set off the fire alarm on three consecutive days until we started leaving the front door and the only two windows with screens open while we cooked. (There were no spills in the oven).
Unit was rustic and very dark with no windows in the bedroom.
This is a great location, close to downtown Jackson but tucked away from the hustle & bustle providing a peaceful retreat. The apt. was clean and had everything we needed. Richard is excellent host!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Located just far enough outside of town to provide that private feel. Richard, the host, greeted us upon arrival and made us feel welcome. As others have mentioned, it was nice to have some delicious food items awaiting us after a long travel day. The kitchen was also well stocked with all the essentials for meal prep. The bed was comfortable and welcome after our day-long excursions. We would definitely say here again!
This location is just a few minutes south of Jackson, and we appreciated being able to avoid much of the summer traffic within Jackson and Teton Village. The apartment was as shown in the listing and had everything we needed. Richard was a friendly, attentive, and responsive host. We definitely will stay again if availability matches our schedule.
