"I stayed at Seal Cove Inn with two old friends for a few nights, and we were in the Seal Cove Master Suite. We absolutely loved it! The location is perfect if you want something quiet, beautiful, and within a reasonable driving distance to many of the area's most compelling activities/vistas. We'd stayed in SF the night before and it was an easy drive down. We then took a day trip to the Monterey Bay area, Carmel, and Big Sur - after which we were ecstatic to collapse into our very comfortable beds at the inn. The adjacent Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and park are stunning; well worth multiple daily strolls. One morning I had the beach to myself except for a couple of seals bobbing in the water by the shore. The amenities at the hotel are excellent: Even the most discerning member of our group was pleased as punch. Little things like the daily breakfast (delivered to our doorstep - we had a private entrance), cookies, and wine were much appreciated. The staff was warm and welcoming. My only complaint is that the inn's excellent coffee made me aware of what I've been missing out on at home! I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area. It was a lovely and relaxing experience! "

"Super clean, spacious home well-outfitted for a weekend getaway! We could all 5 fit on the sofa, all around the kitchen table and the island was a perfect spot for breakfast or appetizers to be set out. Great location between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. Easy travel to either. Hot tub was clean and worked well. A little dark out there, and couldn’t plug in lights, but we made it happen. Goodie bags for each in the bathrooms and makeup towels.Scott communicated quickly in response to any questions. Easy in and out with lockbox and key. Everyone said the beds were amazing and we all slept well both nights. Would definitely stay again or recommend to others! "

"Our trip wasn't great - though some of the issues we experienced were beyond the property owner's control.When we arrived, there was no power - a city issue with a transformer had to be repaired, which took a couple of hours. This wasn't too bad - the larger inconvenience was that the repair trucks blocked the road to the house, so we had to walk a bit to get there.The house also had ants all over the kitchen - which was pretty gross. The maintenance team came out and cleaned and sprayed, but that didn't do much.You absolutely cannot beat the views this house offers - the writing nook is really nice, and the deck has great sight lines to the beach and water.But really, my biggest complaint is that the house just felt....dirty. There were spiderwebs all over the inside and outside. The floor hadn't been swept, so there was sand in a lot of the rooms. The silverware hadn't been washed, like one of the knives still had the label on it and (I think?) peanut butter. A lot of the dishes and glasses were not the cleanest looking.There was no extra toilet paper (we bought some and left it for the next person). The property owner provided two towels and one wash cloth per couple. Just little things like that really detracted from the experience.The owners did provide a refund for one night due to the inconvenience of everything, which was definitely appreciated. I would give the house two stars based on the views and location, but I don't think I would ever go back."
