Lovely, charming, well run, small hotel that is very close to the tram line and Sultanahmet Square. Very nice breakfast buffet. My room was huge! There is also a large enclosed terrace, complete with a few friendly cats. I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel.

A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Sultanahmet

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel and had a truly memorable experience. The location is absolutely perfect—tucked away just enough to offer peace and quiet, yet still within walking distance to many of Istanbul’s major attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. It’s a great balance for anyone wanting to explore the city without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Ahmed and Mubaasir at the reception. They were always welcoming and went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warmth really set the tone for our entire visit—they truly exemplify what great guest service is all about. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Saleh, during our stay. He was generous with his time and shared some fascinating stories and insights about the city and the hotel itself. It was a real highlight to connect with someone so passionate and knowledgeable. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect mix of location, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul.

What An Amazing Experience at Blue Gilroy

This was truly an amazing experience at the Blue Gilroy Hotel during August of 2024. The hotel Owner (Saleh), Mubashir, Ahmed and all the young ladies who cleaned our rooms and served us breakfast were warm, hospitable, and engaging while going above and beyond our expectations. My family loved how close the hotel was to the main Sultanahmet square, grocery stores and the Sultanahmet tram station. They have airport transfer service, laundry service, breakfast buffet and an outside garden with seating.The price for this fancy hotel was very worth it and we can't wait to return to Blue Gilroy during our next Istanbul trip!
