"Lovely place, one of the nicest places I've stayed in in Spain. Very large, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location. If I had any complaint it is that the service in the restaurant is very slow (but I think it was because there wasn't *enough* staff; what staff they had were excellent). I know from decades of experience how service works in Spain (and I LIKE their style); this wasn't it; they had 2-3 waitstaff for a completely full restaurant (~30 tables) with a line waiting to get in. Last but not least, I really enjoyed the "restoration of a palace" design choice; they left the timber ceilings as well as sections of medieval and Renaissance stone and brick exposed, a very nice touch."

"Hemos pasado un fin de semana en familia y ha ido muy bien. Repetimos por segunda vez y no dudamos que habrá una tercera. Un alojamiento muy cómodo, solo decir que en las habitaciones hacia mucho calor a pesar del ventilador. Por lo demás, todo perfecto y lo mejor la piscina."

"Great quality-price! The hotel is located in downtown Avila in a historical building. It does not have elevator. Breakfast is included, nice croissant and fresh toast with good coffee. Wifi works really well in rooms and public places."
