Very welcoming & friendly staff, clean room & comfortable bed, breakfast was excellent with a choice of menu.
My only concern was our window would
Not stay open & we were very hot during the night although a fan was in the room could not sleep with it on,
In the morning very little hot water pressure, this could be the someone else had the hot water running at the same time, these were very small negatives but would definitely stay here again
Lovely old inn in a lovely location. Beamed ceilings downstairs and in the bedroom. Food first class staff friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again
We stayed in one of the exterior stable rooms. A very comfortable room, nice en-suite and a comfortable, soft bed.
Breakfast was particularly good, as was dinner the night before.
Great food, great people working there and a wonderful location.
A walk over the bridge opposite is well worth it as well, as is exploring the local medieval church just down the road.
Beautiful location and property - staff super helpful and friendly. Good drinks and lovely breakfast.
Room very warm overnight, but two fans were already in there when I arrived, which was very helpful.
Needed a little dust as a few cobwebs here and there in the room (light shade and windows) Shared bathroom which is fine, but because of that, I could’ve done with a box of tissues in the room.
The Peacock was perfect for a one-night stay, although longer would have been even better! Room was clean, bright and with a lovely en-suite. An initial shower drainage problem was fixed instantly. Lovely dinner in the pub garden and breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Staff were friendly, chatty and available to help with absolutely anything. Beautiful spot in the Suffolk countryside, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
Ye olde English Inn! Super team, very friendly and helpful.
Room was small, but comfortable - had a great nights' sleep. Breakfast the next morning left nothing to be desired. Really have to say that it was a good start to a long journey, would definitely stay again...........
Best greetings to a great crew - Paul Warren-Smith
The staff at The Peacock Inn were extremely helpful in allowing me to check in early and ordering a taxi for me prior to my arrival so I could get to a local event on time. The room was lovely and comfortable, the shower was really nice and I had a tasty breakfast of poached eggs on sourdough toast. They also brought me a croissant as a little gesture whilst I was waiting on my ordered food. All the staff I came across were very friendly. I didn't use the pub outside of breakfast however it looked really nice so next time I am in the area, I plan to pop in for some dinner or drinks.
We were made very welcome by Jack, the manager, who was very helpful and charming.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was good but we felt there wasn't a great choice and nothing for customers who preferred more traditional dishes. However the service was excellent and we were well looked after.
The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable with the best pillows I've ever slept on! So a good nights sleep was had but unfortunately when I went to have a shower in the morning the cold water tap didn't work so had to forgo the shower. When we checked out I reported it to the receptionist and she was very apologetic and logged it to be fixed.
On the whole we had a very pleasant stay and would return if in that area again.
Awful room, no parking, room different from booking
This hotel advertised "3 rooms", it has 7 when you get there. I was clearly put in one of the other rooms not fit to be hotel rooms and charged top priced. Missing smoke alarm, thin old timber doors that dont fit or close properly. The windows don't open. The ceiling height so low I was face to face with the ceiling lamp shade and im only 5ft 9. No ensuite and forced to used shared scruffy old shower, towels and toilet. The doors are slammed again and again all evening, no privacy from the beer garden below. The TV is an old, tiny Tesco tele. There's no on site parking, if you're lucky you'll sqeeze in under the trees opposite over a very busy road.
Moving onto the restaurant, overpriced, pretentious food and high prices. The staff were polite and friendly though.
A Suffolk Gem !
A tremendous menu and great wine list paired together with extremely comfortable rooms.
The only thing that may put some guests off are the shared bathrooms.(no ensuite)
For myself the fantastic food great staff made up for this 10 fold.

Very Comfortable
A charming property in a lovely and quiet corner of Suffolk. Fantastic, friendly service. Jack, the restaurant could easily teach a master class in customer service. This two-night stat was the most pleasant one I have ever had—anywhere. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Bar & Restaurant not open Mondays but got a message to advise me which was great as I was late arriving. Ideal location for work but great for a walk afterwards and excellent pint in the garden after that. Old building with it's excellent own character just glad the original land lord didn't visit in the night. Also some lovely fresh art work on the walls ;-)
Comfortable room nice lrural location, we used it as a base as we were going to the Ed Sheeran concert and we able to check in early which as a massive bonus .
Lovely breakfast to help us recover from an exhausting day
