Although the place was a little dreary, it was spotlessly clean everywhere. The kitchen was spotless and well-equipped.

I wasn't sure what to expect, not having stayed in a Hostel before. They had onsite WiFi, which was helpful since I had poor cell service in the area. I had a private room with queen bed. The property was clean, safe, and comfortable. I was just there for 1 night and the stay was perfect.
Location is convenient. Place could use a bit of upkeep and could be cleaner.

This is a very old hostel as you know if you’ve looked it up, so set your expectations. Considering many reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was July long weekend, and the kitchen was clean and adequate. The staff was nice and helpful. Beware, the water from the taps was light brown, hopefully that gets fixed. The bedding in my private room didn’t smell fresh and was very wrinkly, that worried me, but still grateful not to be in a dorm room.
The staff was very accommodating but the smell is terrible, in the first room I couldn't breathe. The second didn't smell terrible but it has not been cleaned in months. The nice gentleman at the front desk tried his best but he is not enough for the whole place he needs help.
I liked the room and the building. It was great to be able to use the equipped kitchen, including deep freeze for our ice packs. The only issue we had was some kind of alarm going off, three beeps over and over, all night. (Out in the common area, not in our room.) Nobody came to shut it off, and I didn’t see in my room a way to contact staff. Other than that, I enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, quiet, and good value for money.
Stayed for 4 nights while skiing Panorama with my roommate. We chose the room with a bunk bed. Friendly staff, amazing amenities, such as a large kitchen with tables, multiple lounge area with sofa and tables where guests can relax or even do some work on their computers. Pool table to entertain young people. If you are traveling solo or pairs and want to save money on accommodation, this is your place, not to mention money saved by cooking your own food in the kitchen rather than eating out everyday.
