On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. "The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

The scenery of the Argyll coast and the islands is stunning and the village is a wonderful base. "We extended our stay in Melfort village and were rewarded with beautiful weather. Upper Cooperage is a lovely comfortable apartment which now has an ensuite shower room as well as main bathroom. Everything we need is provided and the village is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are welcoming & helpful & the Monday music night was great fun. Recommend a stay here."

"We had a wonderful stay at Melfort. A few days on our own, then joined by our daughters and baby grand daughter, we were cosy, warm and relaxed. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! The staff are friendly and super helpful, even giving the wee one a present from Santa before she left! This was our third visit, and it definately won't be our last."

"Set in a beautiful location, quarry cottage was just perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely swimming pool, games room, snooker room. Lots of lovely walks and amazing wild life. Particularly loved the bird table. Watching all the different birds coming and going all day long. Could of happily stayed forever."
