The Space:
Welcome to the wonderful world of Idyllwild. One of California's great kept secrets on top of Mount San Jacinto at an elevation of 6,000 ft. Located directly across the street from then Harvey House, this adorable cabin is a mere 0.3 miles (or a 5-minute walk) from town center. Stepping inside you will find a bi-level layout with the kitchen, living room and en-suite bedroom on the lower level - while the upper level loft holds a king bed, a gaming station w/ large TV and wonderful skylight views of the towering pines.
A wood-burning fireplace, an infrared sauna, oversized dining/game table, and a fully stocked kitchen for those home-cooked meals await your arrival.
On the elevated front porch, just outside the front door is a sitting area and BBQ grill with great views of the mountains. On the backyard you'll find 2 swings, a hot tub and a hammock nestled between the pine trees.
The cabin's timeless architecture & grounds that extend nearly 8,712 square feet boasts lofty pine trees, complete with one growing through the recently refinished view deck with a terrific view of Marion Rock.
So come for a night or even a week. This little slice of mountain heaven will leave you wanting to come back again and again. Oh yea, for those hot summer months the temperatures up here are roughly 20-30 degrees cooler than places at the base of the mountain.

Wonderful experience. Everything was tidy and well thought through. Very kid-friendly with the swings outside. Close to town. Loved our experience! We plan on booking again!
All was good. Upstairs ceilings a little too low for us adults but the downstairs bed was too small. A little too close to the street. Otherwise, a great stay.
The cabin was fantastic. My daughter loved the loft and my dog had a great time in the fully fenced in yard, which was a huge deal for us. Great location to town. I would suggest this place and town to anyone. The only suggestion would be to have another lamp in the bedroom, a bright one. It got so dark in there,. Thank you for our wonderful stay.
The cabin was in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to the center of town. Perfect for our two greyhounds. They really enjoyed the spacious fenced in yard. There was a warm and super clean spa, but we did not use it. The loft was perfect for our 16 yo daughter. It had a smart TV and guest subs to major streaming services. The kitchen was appointed with all the need amenities for a long stay. The only suggestion for the host was to add a grab bar for the shower as it was awkward with the fixed shower head directly above the clawfoot tub.

The amenities were fantastic and the neighborhood was so quiet and walkable! Very easy to access all the fun stuff Idyllwild has to offer. There were a couple things that weren’t in tip-top shape (the hot tub cover, the antique juicer, the lighting in the bedroom), but easy to overlook because of the gorgeous view, the lovely bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful time!
I fell in love with this place immediately when I walked in the door. Every detail was just so beautiful. I will be back many times!

It wasnt too bad
When we arrived jacuzzi tub was turned off with no power at all so call the property manage and he sent me a guy in few hrs. We stayed only a day so we couldnt use the jacuzzi at all.
As the vacation rental property owner this place isnt good to having good time with family.
When i stepped in there was smell.
Fire burnt smell was too bad. Couldnt breath well at all. This property is pretty dark in the evening.
There is no smoke detector .but place looks pretty cozy.
The location of the cabin is great as its only a 10 min walk to the village. The fenced in yard is great and we enjoyed the swings and the hammock. Its nice that this place is dog friendly and there are lots of game options inside the house. The cabin is cute and the beds were comfortable, but I expected the place to be cleaner due to the high cleaning fee, the place is what I would consider 'cabin clean"with dust on most surfaces, inside of the fridge not wiped down (there were actually exploded drinks in the freezer) dog poop all around the back yard- which I picked up so my dog wouldn't eat it. We also had to sweep the porch and back steps/ hot tub area to make walking outside in slippers more comfortable. I am from the mountains so I know it takes effort to keep a cabin clean- I would suggest charging a lower fee if cleaning just includes clean linens and surfaces being wiped down. We were not able to use the hot tub during our stay because the water level was very low (jets were above the water line) we did end up finding a hose but it didn't matter since the filter wasn't working and the water was murky and milky color. I didn't get a message back about this from the host until 3 in the morning the day of check out- there is also a very high host fee, between that and the cleaning fee its more than a 1 night stay so just consider that when booking. We did enjoy the sauna which was a nice touch on a chilly evening. I would book again for the location & sauna.
