One of Ibiza Town's biggest attractions is the Dalt Vila, the ancient fortified Old Town perched atop a hill. Just outside the fortress walls is the necropolis Puig des Molins. This ancient Phoenician cemetery was established in the 7th century B.C. and contains thousands of tombs. View exhibits of artifacts, such as jewelry, weapons and coins, found in some of the burial chambers.
For shopping, head to La Marina, a popular neighborhood stretching around the harbor. Visit numerous shops as well as waterfront bars and restaurants.
While tourists flock to Ibiza during the summer, the island is a year-round destination with about 300 days of sunshine. Relax on beaches scattered along the local coastline, including Talamanca Beach and Playa d’en Bossa.

Reach Ibiza Town by flying into Ibiza Airport, about 4 miles (6 kilometers) southwest of the capital. Alternatively, catch a ferry from mainland Spain and arrive in the city's port. Get around on foot or by bus, taxi or rental car and enjoy the history, beaches and social scene.
