Heron Cottage felt like a home, not a holiday let. It’s perfectly positioned, wonderfully stocked, and Naomi’s communication is friendly and helpful. I went to Hythe not knowing what to expect, and left with sadness having made friends. I highly recommend the house and the town.

Lovely cottage in Hythe

The cottage is well-equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hythe is lovely too with an attractive promenade and nice, independent shops in the High Street. Great local pub too!

Cosy place

A great place in the nice little town of Hythe, 5min walk to the beach, 10min to the High Street, all the amenities close by.We did not miss anything in the house. First of all, the house is very well equipped: kitchen and bath with all the necessary appliances, comfortable beds, good Wifi etc. Apart from that, we loved the artwork, the colours: a great fusion of features of a traditional house and clever ideas. Thank you, Naomi.

such a nice place

and such a nice owner. Everything was just as described, location was close to the sea and the river, kitchen had all you could possibly need. As we were arriving late we were apprehensive about parking and getting in - both were very easy. They have a nice system where there are beers waiting for you in the fridge and you then have to leave beers for the next guests. Definitely a place to go back to

Lovely stay in a lovely area

Everything went really well. Naomi had left clear instructions on how to access the property etc. The cottage is well stocked with all cleaning products, which is always good as it helps you to clear and clean as you go along!The beds were really comfy and there was the bonus of a ceiling fan during the heat wave.Lots to do in the town and surrounding areas. Hope to be back! Thanks.

A top holiday house 2 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the town. Parking was on the roadside, but totally easy. The check-in was very easy and flexible due to a key safe. The owner gave explicit and easy to follow instructions about everything concerning the house and garden.She was also available per phone and text to contact and friendly. The house had everything we needed; it was completely furnished with lots of cooking utensils a dishwasher and a washing machine. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great. There was also a downstairs utility room with an extra toilet .We had a lovely week and hope to return. The owner calls it The Happy Placeand that is certainly true.Thank you for letting us stay.

Great holiday

Lovely house, great location, would definitely recommend. We had our dog with us which unfortunately let the holiday down a tad because of 'the ranges'. I hadn't realised the ferocity of the firing. My dog is VERY noise sensitive so we had to jump in the car and run out of earshot most days. We really liked Hythe and the friendliness of all the folk we met. We went on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway a couple of times which was great. I paddled the Royal Military Canal a couple of times...had it to myself both times. The Happy Shack down the end of the road is a great breakfast treat.
