"Great place to stay for families. Good to have a pool, and bar/seating area with mini pool table, xbox area for kids. Breakfast offered a variety and good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient location near city centre. Room was slightly dusty in places plus bathroom furniture looking a bit tired in places but it was clean. Comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again."

"On reception the hotel is beautiful and welcoming and warm. Checked and registered our vehicle fine with no problems. Receptionist was very helpful. We didn’t eat in the hotel as had plans in the town centre. In return we found the hotel room cold. No windows open and we already had the radiator. We asked reception and were given an additional heater which was great. We did find the room was a little dated with no sockets near the bed for charging devices and one active socket for the whole room. We had a little damp smell in the room when arriving but put it down to being cold."

"What a fantastic find! We travelled with our dog and couldn't have found a more perfect place. The room was spacious, modern and clean and all the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Exeptionally dog friendly and a good relaxing feel about the place and a definite friendly vibe. Breakfast was great, well organised and a good variety to start the day. Hot drinks and soft drinks available all day, and a small selection of alcoholic drinks available for purchase. The accomodation is set back from the main road so no traffic noise. An easy walk or bus journey into York and 2 pub/restaurants within a 5 minute walk which was helpful. You can walk onto the race track on none race days and a great option for walking your dog. We are already looking for an excuse to go back."

"We had a superior room was a very quiet room/stay, the bed was comfortable and had a good sleep. Bathroom was ok not much room to sit on toilet as squeezed in to the corner of the room right next to the door. The shower screen had a gap between the glass so water would leak on to the floor also mould on the tiles and ceiling as fan did not work. All of the above Reported to reception when leaving. This didn’t affect our stay would stay there again. Breakfast had a good selection but one coffee machine was not great as there was always a long queue. The Hotel was in a great position central to everything. 7/10 rating."
