About this property

2 Bed in Sedgeford (oc-1549)

  • This delightful Victorian home in rural north Norfolk has an old-world charm and cosy cottagey atmosphere. It’s located in the sleepy village of Sedgefield, with a friendly pub you can head to for a pint within 0.5 miles. If you’re feeling energetic, take satisfying walks through the surrounding countryside by joining the ancient Peddars Way, a 46-mile-long scenic route that runs past the village. The house sleeps four guests over its two bedrooms, so would suit a family or small group of friends.

You’ll notice a number of period features as you explore this appealing holiday home, which has low ceilings, plank doors and painted ceiling beams. The welcoming lounge/diner, with sofas, colourful cushions and a warming wood burner, is a lovely place to spend time with fellow guests with the smart TV on. A wood dining table awaits at the other end of the room for those relaxed holiday meals, prepped in the stylish farmhouse-style kitchen. From here, a barn door opens out to the garden, a truly idyllic space blooming with roses in summer. Head up the Norfolk winder steep stairs to find two bedrooms, one double with TV and one twin. Both are in cottage style, in contrast to the streamlined bathroom. In mild weather, relax into morning coffees on the patio, complete with a table and seating so you can enjoy the Norfolk sunshine.

From picturesque villages to dreamy sandy beaches, there’s plenty to discover nearby. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is 4 miles away, where you can stroll along the prom, prom, prom and dip your toes in the water with an ice cream in your hand. Love floral fragrances? Don’t miss a trip to Heacham (3 miles), home to the popular Norfolk Lavender, where you can immerse yourself in the sight and scent of over 50 varieties! History and culture enthusiasts will appreciate trips to the Bircham Windmill (4 miles), Houghton Hall and Gardens (8 miles) and the royal residence at Sandringham (6 miles).
