I’ll be back, cute and clean!
I needed a place to sleep while attending several events in the area and this was perfect; clean, safe, warm, great snacks. The only negative was the icy steps and deck. I had to break up the ice and clear with my boots. Place could use an electric kettle for tea. Other than that it was a great place for me and my elderly dog.

I like how close the hotel was to Hudson. That simplified my business trip. Micosta is more like a bed and no breakfast kind of place. I’m not positive but it seems like it is a converted large home. The cost was low and I would stay again.

Nothing special about this place... nothing was outstanding nor was anything really terrible. The actual check-in was weird--there was no full-time office to speak of--just a note on the door with a phone number to contact the innkeeper. There was an unusual odor in the room and I had to keep windows open at all times to keep fresh air circulating. It was disappointing. Good thing I was traveling alone because my wife NEVER would have stayed here--she would have immediately insisted we leave.

Sorry our site was not to your liking, I guess it all comes down to personal preferences. Sorry for the unpleasant odor, but the previous guest had something odiforous in the room we were not able to get rid of right away. We send messages to our guests before they arrive with checkin instructions and have the number on the door in case the guest doesn't check emails or texts. There is a small office but not always open since we only have a few rooms. Compare our price to other rooms that have a kitchen, bathroom, and are self contained, and you may be happier with your accommodation.

The broken screen door-hanging off one hinge did not enhance the stay. Probably very nice in summer or in better weather. A one and done stay.

It's hard to understand what the guest found wrong with the accommodation. All rooms have a screen door and all are properly mounted and hinged. Maybe rainy weather took its toll on this guest, but that is something I really can't control.

Great spot, close to Hudson and the Catskills. Room was a good size with a small kitchen and veranda to sit and have a drink. Steve was a great host and cooked us a great dinner in their small restaurant.

This place was a very beautiful property where me and my girlfriend got away for a week. The scenery was beautiful and you could even pick the berries. The owner was the sweetest human alive, and I say the only thing that I was nervous about was check in and out because as someone who has only stayed at hotels, the lack of a desk was confusing.. will definitely return

The property is very quiet and comfortable. Supplied everything that was needed, had all the kitchen utilities you would need. The only thing I would suggest is maybe put blackout curtains. It was very bright through the curtains in the morning. Otherwise it was a great stay! I stayed 2 nights and would most definitely stay again.

A). The heater in the room didn't have a thermostat to set the desired temperature. As a result, we had only two options: Option 1. Let it run all the time and get too hot to sleep. Option 2. To disconnect the heater from the power outlet and get too cold to sleep. (The temperature outside was 16 F degrees.) B). The bathroom plumbing wasn't working properly. The shower control was not working to direct all the water up to the shower, instead it only 1/2 of the water and the rest of the water was coming from the lower forset directly tub. C). On the second day in the morning, the toilet stopped working/flashing, the water wasn't draining at all.

Removed from bustle of town but close to everything, it is surrounded by beautifully cared-for gardens in a scenic turn of the Claverack river. Our little studio apartment had everything, was thoughtfully decorated, clean and comfortable. Although we only stayed a night, the place felt like a respite for body and soul

Micosta was really fun! A funky venue in the middle of nowhere. Steven was a great host. Had fresh raspberries & persimmons from his garden for breakfast.

The property was nice and the unit was very clean. We were a little annoyed that the path to our room was overgrown with vines and hedges that we had to duck to try to avoid. This was especially annoyimg while dressed for a wedding and was very wet from the rain that day. Aside from this, we will return in the future.

This is a unique place unlike any other inn or motel. It’s a private home that’s been partially converted to an inn, surrounded by overflowing gardens of fruit trees and plants. At first glimpse it seems like a private property in the country. The owner was friendly and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable.

We have no way to know why this guest gave this rating since no comments were left. Most guests are pleased with their stay here although a few are disappointed since it is a countryside experience and we are a 10 minute drive from central Hudson.

Our stay was quite nice at this little inn. It is essentially feels like a small house room that you are renting out. It has a small kitchen which was nice. The check in and check out process was awkward, that was the only issue we had. Everything else was as expected. It is quite far from downtown so you will need a car to get there.

Our check in and check out can be done in person or by phone which makes the procedure quite simple. If by phone we an leave the room unlocked and the key inside (and charge your card on file), and check out only requires leaving the key in the room and walking out the door. I can also meet you in person and charge your actual card. I am always available to take care of anything you might need. Hudson is a 10 minute ride by car. Many people like it here because it is quiet and we are away from the downtown noise with a nice garden to enjoy in the summertime.

Communication with the host was super easy and pleasant. Once we arrived at night we enjoyed the peace and quiet the property affords. The room is comfortable, well equipped, and clean. In the morning it was lovely to sit on the porch with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy the sound of water from the nearby pond, the strawberry field around the property, the birds, and the lovely and friendly owner's cat. We recommend both place and host!
