  • Get ready to relax at Sunset Cottage in this recently renovated 3-bedroom house with spectacular views of the Catskills, Mt. Merino and the Hudson River. The home stays pleasant year-round with heating and AC, making it easy to unwind no matter the season. The cottage features a few living room , dining room and fully stocked kitchen. Perfect for a restful night, you'll find two Queen beds ( 1 in each room) and a Twin trundle (sleeps 2). Guests will find one full bathroom, including a bathtub and bidet, adding a touch of comfort to their stay. Primary bedroom offers an ensuite half bath. Sunset Cottage is conveniently located in town and sleeps 6, featuring a finished basement outfitted with a bar area, comfortable seating, lots of board games and laundry room. Enjoy the breathtaking view while grilling on the gas BBQ on the back deck, or in the yard at the outdoor fire pit. A large parking area allows for easy parking! Walk two blocks to Warren Street for the best restaurants, bars, chic stores, cafes, galleries and more. It's just 2 1/2 blocks from the Hudson Amtrak station for easy commuting from NYC. Friends weekend

Property is a convenient 5 minute walk to the heart of Warren Street. Home was as described - clean & cozy with a nice porch and ample parking for several cars. Only suggestion would be to trim the trees that block the view of the Hudson … if they are on the property. We visited in the Spring when the leaves were on the trees. The.view of the Hudson might be fine in Winter.

Cozy and convenient

Our family of four stayed here for the weekend after picking up our daughter from Hawthorne Valley Farm Camp, and this property was perfect for us! The home was immaculate and cool when we arrived. Rudy communicated a few days ahead of time about an issue with the fridge and provided coolers and ice for us to use. We loved eating dinner out on the porch and playing board games down in the media room. The beds were clean and comfortable without being too soft. It made a huge difference that our dog Lucy could come with us - she loved walks in the neighborhood and spotting the occasional rabbit. We'd never stayed in Hudson proper before, but it was very convenient being within a few blocks of town. We ate delicious food from El Sabor de Oaxaca, Backbar, and Scali's pizza, plus some yummy bread and cheese from the provisions place around the corner. Great dog-friendly hike in the Greenport Conservancy Area only five minutes away by car. If you want to keep it simple and have some quality family time, this is a great place to stay, and we'd happily return!

Great Private Home

Had a wonderful time at the cottage - just a short walk to everything hudson has to offer but off the main drag with a private with valley views to the south. We felt well taken care of. Would come back for sure.

Good location and venue, can take a wait to get things fixed.

We were a bit sweltering in the heat, as the AC Units hadn't been installed yet. Rudy was very communicative in terms of getting help, but I was a little surprised that there weren't people readily available to assist should something that affected the stay that much come up. Thankfully the units were installed by the second night. Otherwise, the cottage is a lovely spot and an easy walk from Warren Street.
