Weekend in Hove
Great location, very near sea front, pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. On-site car parking is a real plus!
Room was clean and tidy, but a little bit dilapidated - curtains worn (difficult to open/close) and no plug in bathroom hand basin.
Overall, good value room for an overnight stay, but clearly scope to improve in a few areas.
Centrally located, with 24hr front desk and offered at a good value off-season price, however the description of our room as 'deluxe' wasn't at all right.

The room was acceptable but could do with a new curtain rail. We had to ask for assistance as we were frightened to open and close the curtains.
Also the ceiling in the bathroom was badly stained.
So there's room for improvement. The beds were comfortable. Okay for a short visit.
The whole place smelled like weed. The room and bathroom were old and didn't feel clean. There was no room cleaning during our stay. The only saving gracs was that the bed was clean and very comfortable.
A warm welcome.
The hotel has obviously been recently refurbished, and very clean.
The ensuite bathroom needs the same attention.
I was fearful of using the shower as it is very basic (a curtain to be pulled round a bar over the bath) and insecure, and the bath needs re enameling.
No bedside lamp means having to get up to switch off the light.
However, I should emphasise that I think it is really good value for money. Great for one or two nights.
My stay was so amazing, the reception from the staff, the cleanliness of the environment all was a top notch. I really enjoyed my stay.

Hotel was good for the price. Mattress wasn't overly comfortable, shower wasn't very good, one of the lights wasn't working.
Wasn't there all that much so these issues weren't that inconvenient. I'd stay there again for the value for money.
Awful stay hotel with damage carpet hole and in bathroom awful dirty in toliet and bathroom glass all dirty no air conditioning shock see cigarette load bit on outside the window I have photos the staffs is ok not British never like here load trees become damage at path it unsafe for old people and disable
The carpet I fell over it twice as it isn’t stuck down on the floor also no lift so having to drag my pram and things up the stairs so having to hold my 7 month old

We got there to check in with an early check in for 1 of the 3 rooms we booked and were told none of them were ready. When we eventually got 1 of the rooms we had a shower that did not work. The staff gave us a uncleaned room to have a shower which that shower did not work either. In the meantime we had a man coming in and out of 1 of the rooms to try and fix the broken shower with girls sat in towels as we had no other room where they could then change. We eventually got the other 2 rooms and 1 of them was okay, however the other one had a massive water leak from the ceiling with dirty water bouncing off the window and onto our bed. This was also complained about and I asked for the bedding to be changed. When we got back to the room the leak had been stopped and cleaned but the bedding hadn’t been changed. When we checked out of the hotel we asked for a refund of some money from 2 of the rooms due to all the issues we had and the staff refused and said we would have to talk to a supervisor but there wasn’t one there. We left as a group telling them that the issues need fixing and will not return.
Mattress was about 5cm thick and was as hard as wood me and my partner couldn’t actually sleep so we ended up leaving the hotel at 5:30am. The shower we didn’t even use because you’d have to stand like a pencil in the shower. The hot tap on the sink didn’t work. The carpets were all lifted, there was no latch to keep the window open and we were provided with an electric radiator but no fan considering the weather conditions. As we were leaving the member of staff who was supposed to be on reception was changed out of his smart clothes into casual shorts and t shirt and was sleeping on the sofa in the foyer just outside of reception so ended up just leaving the key on the reception desk during check out and weren’t even checked out properly. The whole experience was absolutely appalling. We paid over £200 for one night for an absolutely awful stay. We are gutted because everything else about our trip was great however we just could not sleep or be comfortable during our stay. We would actually like to request a refund because we cost you next to nothing for staying there considering we didn’t use facilities. The pebbles on the beach were comfier to sleep on which is what we actually ended up doing was sleeping on the beach in the day before our 3 hour journey home. My partner actually felt unsafe in the accommodation due to the conditions of the room and lack of welcoming from night staff who was on the phone to someone whilst taking our payment for our stay.
Very run down with no signs of trying to fix anything.
Friendly enough staff, but clueless.
I had to move rooms after the first night. The radiator in room 218 couldn't be turned off and it was 25 degrees. The ceiling in the bathroom has water damage from above and the plaster was cracked and falling down.
The second room I was given, room 317, had more problems. The window had broken seals, so let in a lot of wind and noise from the street. I found 2 empty Absolut vodka bottles wedged between the base and mattress. The mattresses were cheap, thin and uncomfortable.
The bathroom stank of sulphuric sewage and became unbearable.
The electrical sockets made a high pitched wizzing sound when switched on, which made the lamps flicker. Very dangerous.
I was supposed to stay for 3 nights, but left after 2 to stay on a friend's sofa.
Room was lovely room was accessible, didn't request this but just had knee surgery and the chap on reception gave us the choice. unfortunately we had leave through the night due family emergency. Many thanks hopefully return soon

Rooms were smelly and dirty. No hand towels and floor mats. Until we complain.
