Cute House & Town

We really enjoyed our two-night stay—the house was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. In addition to attending a wedding, we had a great time exploring the area and especially loved the Owl Center—it was so fascinating! We’re already looking forward to hopefully returning for a longer stay. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!

Trip to Houston

Everything was great and as expected. We showed up late in the dark and the lights were turned on for us. The place is quite large - there were 4 of us and room for more. Everything was clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay again.

Convenient to Outdoor Activities

The property was as described. It was clean & the beds comfortable. The manager was quick to respond to any questions we had. The Nature Center is impressive with a great park at the trailhead of the Root River Bike Trail. We hope to return to bike it.

Visiting Family

This is the first time that we've traveled back to Minnesota, to visit family, since we sold the family home (Parents have moved into Heritage Court) and, therefore, no longer have a place to stay when we come to town. So, we tried VRBO and were very happy with this lovely home, which is perfectly located to my parents. This place has everything one needs to feel right at home, even when you're miles away from your own. I sure hope it will be available every time we return! Thanks for a great stay, Lisa.

Quaint, relaxing reunion stay

The house is cozy and comfortable. We had a four-night stay while visiting the area. My mom needed some quiet downtime between activities and this was the perfect spot for it while allowing me room to move about and relax. While it's not the most modern home (it's not meant to be), it still provided everything we needed. I prefer the classic over the modern. The owner was a peach. Very responsive to our needs. The rental is new to the market and the owner is making changes constantly to create a pleasant experience. I'm hoping to go back next year and see what has changed, while keeping the classic charm.

Relaxing Home in the Bluff area

Our stay was wonderful and everything was in place for a relaxing weekend. Houston is a nice town to stay and visit. Highly recommend a stop to International Owl Center that is right on mainstreet. Thank you we hope to return next year.
