Carmel Inn is a lovely local place to stay if you don't want somewhere fancy. It definitely is "antique." The faucets are leaky and the floor is grimey, but you won't find better service or a cheaper room anywhere else in town.

Property was perfect for what we needed. Very close proximity to the college where the Manning Passing Academy was that we were attending. Great pool, friendly people, staff went above and beyond. The room wasn’t the newest and cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in, but for what my teenage son and I needed, it worked great.

Worst stay ever.

Room was filthy, had to ask for a cleaner room. No wifi even though it was advertised on their web site, breakfast was suppose to start at 6:30 am. Wasnt even ready by 7 am. Towels in my room werent even clean. Disgusting i would not recommend this place.

Dated but convenient

Hotel is very dated. Bed was very uncomfortable and old. Shower is old and patched. Walls have stuff dripping down on them. Price was cheaper than the other hotels.

We stayed here several times a while back it was great now it’s just horrible rooms were nasty air didn’t work! Pool was full of people playing vulgar music that weren’t even staying at hotel. We will not be back

Old and dirty!

We thought This was going to be a nice place. It was dirty and rust in the tub. We did not get breakfast because they told us. I would not recommend this place!

This is the worse place I have stayed in my life. They had to change my room 5 times. All the rooms smelled bad, they were dirty. In one of them the refrigerator had mold and smelled sooo bed. Do not stay here

Filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in…

This is, hands down, the filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. And I stay in a LOT of hotels for work. I have NO idea how your rating is so high, it makes me think it is artificially inflated with fake reviews??? If it was not the end of a 700 mile drive and late at night and there were more options, I’d have left.
