"Our family visited for a long weekend. We have 3 kids and brought 2 dogs and it was just perfect. The trail just out back was an unexpected surprise! We wore the pups out multiple times a day. We also took a fun and unexpected helicopter ride because the house is next to a helicopter tour operation. And being so close to the helicopter tours wasn’t at all off-putting. The location was excellent for all we wanted to do. If we return in the future we’ll likely rebook with these hosts who make it...

"The home is nice and in a beautiful location. We were allowed to check in early and departed early. One snafu: housekeeping had not followed the previous renters so house was not ready. I worked with owner and she was communicative and helpful and made monetary compensation for my having to clean. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay."

We spent the weekend and where able to visit Crazy horse, jewel cave, Mount Rushmore and Rapid city with a stop in Hill top too. We also enjoyed the local restaurants in Custer! Quiet, thoughtful and comfortable home for the weekend!"

"We were in Custer for a graduation and the house was a wonderful option for our family. Plenty of space for people and a separate "wing" for our older parents so they didn't have to hear the louder activity when they went to bed in the evening. My mother uses a rollator walker and there was plenty of room to maneuver. We will definitely stay again... hoping for next year at graduation again 🙂"

"Beautiful area! Our overall stay was wonderful. The location was close to downtown Custer and somewhat secluded. However, my daughter's room smelled musty, and the shower had mildewed around the shower door. It had 3 bedrooms with plenty of beds for a large group/family. We didn't bring our pets but there is a large fenced-in yard for dogs. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay."

"If you want a fantastic home base for your Black Hills adventure, this is it! It is a camper, which my husband was unsure of, but he quickly changed his tune! While we didn't spend much time in the camper (shower and sleep), it was clean and well-appointed (2 shower towels, two hot tub towels, two washcloths, COFFEE, dishes, cooking spices, grilling tools, and more).
