"The hotel looked old from the outside. You could tell it has been updated on the inside. The restaurant that is attached wasn’t overpriced and the food was good. The only negative to the hotel is that it doesn’t have an elevator(lift). Even if they put you on the first floor, there are two step to maneuver with your baggage."

"Lovely grounds and staff. The room was ok but the shoer head didnt sit in cradle so you had to hold it which we had made them aware of lsst time we stayed. It was quite dusty behind bedside table where you plug phone in but I will stay again as i generally like the hotel"

"The hotel itself was fine. The shower area was just weird. The shower curtain didn't reach the floor so water had to spill out. We only stayed one night. The breakfast was fine but just had the basics. Would atau again."

"Great location a very short walk into main Winchester. All staff very friendly and said hello! Comfy bed, good facilities in the room (USB ports, coffee and tea, inroning board and iron). Beautiful smelling toiletries in the bathroom! And the pool and sauna etc was not huge but very nice and chilled despite being well attended. Breakfast ok - busy but things were kept topped up. Parking could be clearer when booking. Its a council carpark which isnt expensive but you do need to pay at certain times during the day OR hotel carpark but also not free. No hardship but always better to know than be surprised, I think my booking might have said 'free parking' which it wasn't. But overall would defintely stay again!"

"The food in the Main Hotel was amazing. We stayed in the castle and the room was big and spacious. Check in time is very late. The Castle unless in restaurant times there was nowhere like a simple shop to be able to get a simple drink without having to go over to the main Resort."

"I liked the size of the room & comfortable bed. Surprised that they charge n upfront fee of £50 a night for any extras you my have. I have not come across this before & I have stayed in many hotels"
