The location of this hotel was great..very close to transport, shops and dining options. The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff were very friendly, polite and did a fantastic job cleaning our rooms. The majority of reception staff were lovely, however we were unimpressed with our check in experience. The staff member who checked us in was unhelpful and dis-interested. I tried speaking in English first and then Cantonese but felt they were very dismissive and wasn’t interested in helping our family of 6. We had arrived on a very early flight and we had respectfully asked if there was any possibility of an early check-in. Understandably, they were fully booked but the whole interaction made us feel very unwelcome. We also ate at Cafe A in the lobby. We had the dinner semi-buffet the first time and it was quite good. I then ended up make a lunch booking for my extended family of 12. The lunch time semi buffet was very disappointing, hardly anything on offer at the buffet, not the standard we expected from this hotel and definitely not worth the price we had to pay for it. Quite a few of us had to send the food back as it was not edible. Very different from the dinner we enjoyed the first time we ate at the restaurant.

We stayed for 17 nights and got to know most of the staff there. They were kind, friendly and ready to help. The location is convenient with a 3 minute walk in the skybridge to the Fortress Hill MTR station. We got a room upgrade to the 8th floor with harbor view. Given the duration of our stay, we asked for a microwave, which come with a small shelf for additional storage. The decor of the lobby and hallways were luxurious with many weddings and corporate events during our stay. The hotel offers excellent value and we would stay here again.

There was nothing majorly wrong with this hotel (apart from a few bits of paint or wallpaper peeling), but it was just a bit weird. The building layout is strange and requires a lot more walking than you would imagine. The pool is not relaxing at all, with nowhere really to chill beside it, and water constantly cascading noisily down the side. And the decor of the communal areas is bizarre... but also kind of brilliant. We really enjoyed our harbour view suite, and enjoyed laughing at the eccentricities. I would stay here again, but there are better hotels in HK.

Significantly wear and tear seen in such a young property Dark spots and dirt between grooves everywhere, feels dirty. Same tile layout in walk-in-shower vs bathroom vs living room - means the owner gives no shxt in interior design. Interior decoration looks just like budget hotels like ibis. Definitely not worth of the money you're paying.

Need to be more strict on smoking especially the mainland tourists as they always break rules. As last time I was here on a non smoking floor and there was people smoking who were obviously Chinese tourists. This rating is for my past two stays here. The beds are really itchy and makes my skin itchy and have rashes. That means it’s not clean as I have sensitive skin.
