Villa-style condo with pool on the beach - Condo 1

Apartment 1 is located on the lower level, with a private patio in the back, and the ability to walk straight out to the heated swimming pool. It has one bedroom with a queen size bed and there is a pull-out sofa in the living room. Parking included.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Anna Maria Island and want to be close to the beach you will love these condos. They are located literally on the beach front at Holmes Beach with a private heated pool, large private deck area and outdoor gas grill barbecue. Each condo also has designated parking in front of the building.

There are two condos available for rental, both with views of the Gulf of Mexico. Next door you'll find the 'Café on the Beach', serving homestyle breakfast, lunch and dinner, complete with live music from 6pm. There are many charming restaurants within walking distance and plenty of stores and a major supermarket nearby. There is also a fishing pier next to the Café. Close by on the beach there are volleyball courts and a playground.

25th Anniversary getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful time here! It was very clean and quiet with a wonderful view of the ocean. We could step out our door and be at our private pool or a few steps away from the beach…and Holmes Beach is very nice and clean. Highly reccomend!

When it’s about location!

Stayed here for a quick getaway for a few days. The location is great, just steps from the beach. Anne responded timely to the couple of questions I had. The place is comfortable and clean, it could use a few updates but for the price it can’t be beat! I would definitely stay here again.

Condo for all practical purposes is on the beach

Great place to stay. We really enjoyed staying there. Comfortable and cute. Has everything you need. Beautiful patio with umbrella tables, lounge chairs, a very nice grill, and a pool. We would go back in a minute. The location is perfect! It is close to restaurants, stores and restaurants. The owner and manager are nice people.

The condo was great for us Seniors. It was mostly quiet, other renters were nice and friendly. So close to the beach - we loved that! Close to grocery and shopping. We grilled on the very nice grill a few times. The pool was actually heated and was kept so clean!! The manager was welcoming and attentive. And - most importantly - it was clean!!!! We definitely might return!!

Mold, mildew, & mice/rat traps

We flew in late & entered a filthy, moldy unit- very unlike the advertised unit. Mold filled every room. Two rat traps & a chewed through wall under the sink cabinet. Bathroom sink fixture carotid & backed up. You wouldn’t believe the real photos - a far cry from the VRBO ad. The owner acknowledged she has not kept it up & gave us an $800 refund off a $2500 bill. The property manager also offered to refund the entire bill, so we could go elsewhere. I traveled with my 82-yr old mother, and the trip was for my 60th birthday. So, where are we to go- unfamiliar with the island and full of spring breakers?? The manager sent 2 cleaning people. We define “clean” very differently. The pool & landscaping was nice & a short walk to the beachfront. Guests were lovely. But, chairs in the unit dilapidated so we spent a few hundred renting ones from a beach rental- not reimbursed by owner. Lesson learned- make sure you’re getting the unit being advertised. The room we looked at online was #8- immaculate but unavailable for us to move to beyond 1 night.

Location is key

Location for me was key! We've stayed in the area before and this one was probably 100 feet from Manatee Public Beach, Anna Maria Cafe, and the Tiki Bar. It's so convenient to grab a coffee and bagel, hotdog or more filling lunch at reasonable prices. There is also a gift shop. A free shuttle picks up there every 20 minutes. Publix is an easy 5-7 minute walk on a straight path from the parking lot. There is also a Walgreen's and other shops near there. It's in a decent neighborhood adjacent to a surf shop and across from Skinny's Bar. We were not sure about it, but apparently they have the #1 burger 😅 it is perfectly situated between North end and downtown. Ubers are plentiful so we did not need a car. You can rent a golf cart for a fun way to get around the island. There are 8 units in this condo, even though I think the listing says there are 4. I'm not sure the price difference between 7 and 8, but 7 had an updated kitchen and looked more spacious (saw neighbors unit). The unit is dated and the kitchen we had was very small and did not have any room except I used the counters for my bathroom stuff that didn't fit on the single vanity. Overall it suited our needs at a reasonable price. It was very clean, but the shower curtain did have mold on the bottom. The rollaway was literally springs. Communication was iffy, but she did accommodate my request for an early check-in. I hope this review helps!
